Frenkie is already PSG bound. Seems like it's Rabiot for midfield and that's it.

That's one way to increase the transfer budget, sell declining players while they still have value left and buy the next wave of talents/wc players. For example I would sell both Rakitic and Suarez, forget that their best buddies with Messi. Add 100 and buy Kane. You also get rid of their wages which are 2 of the biggest in our club. Suarez alone is 15m/year and would probably pay Kane less than that. Slim chances tho, when we give renewed contracts to everyone like it's Christmas candy.

Right, long contract extensions is never a good idea for past-30-players (goats doesn't count). Would be awesome to cash some Chinese money on Suarez next summer, I bet they would pay big time to get such a name - but I doubt he wants to and that the board has the balls to sell Messis BFF. We will need a replacement sooner rather than later, so it would be a good plan, yes :)

Btw, is De Jong going to PSG?? I thought it was only De Ligt? For now I believe De JOng is the smarter one and chooses us over the money.

Just a waste of space. I would sell him or do a QSG on his ass. Give his first-team number and place to Rafa Mújica or Abel Ruiz who can't be any worse. At least they would be fighting for the shirt whenever given the chance.

Munir was a significantly better player than Abel and Mujica when playing with the B team, and that was when the B team was at a higher level of competition. There is no "Can't be any worse" in this situation, because they 100% would be.

Have you seen Munir play whenever given the chance this season? A statue could have contributed with the same and said statue would be as quick. Munir is absolute garbage and far from being good enough. Even as a substitute that rarely if ever plays. I prefer, 100 times, to give, what 180-270 minutes of playing time (for the reminder of the season) to the likes of Ruiz and Mújica. Without a single doubt. In particular as they earn 5-6 times less and have not already signed a contract with another club (Sevilla). Not only that they would actually fight for the shirt and do everything to prove themselves. Munir on the other hand has no future at the club. I would do a QSG on him by stripping him from the first team (he adds nothing to it anyway) and give the chance to Ruiz or Mújica. Or loan a veteran number 9 (with actual physical attributes) for the reminder of the season.

No, I am not the greatest fan of Munir. Never was.

Yeah, but Mujica and Ruiz are worse than Munir just by simply comparing them at similar levels. If Abel and Mujica can't do what Munir could in Juvenil A and Barca B, how will the do better with the first team? We'd be replacing one statue for another and sacrificing the strength of the B team all for the sake of appeasing your hate boner.

No hate here as that is a very strong word. I don't hate any football players, managers, clubs, national teams etc. At most disliking the fact that Munir is taking a place in the squad that should not be his in the first place.

I disagree completely. Being better than player x or y at the age of 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 or even 20 says nothing about being better than said players in the long run. I honestly believe that both of those canteranos would offer more when given the chance. Just in terms of fighting for the shirt and actually being mobile. Not only that it is not like Munir was setting the world on fire as a youngster. If I should make a bet tonight, my bet would be that Abel Ruiz will be the better player when he will be Munir's age in 5 years time.

If anything give Abel Ruiz or Mújica those garbage minutes. If they fail completely, Munir can be that substitute that barely ever plays.

Also knowing that he refused to extend the contract so the club could receive a transfer fee for him (even a small one) sits badly with me. I don't see any point in giving minutes to players that have only 5 months time left at the club and who have no future.

Revisionist history at it's finest. Munir, the player who got promoted to the first team and made his debut with the Spanish NT off the back of dominating the UYL as Juvenil A went on to decimate everyone in the way with him and Adama nearly carrying the team, wasn't "Setting the world on fire as a youngster"? What utter rubbish.

Neither one of Mujica or Ruiz has shown a single quality to suggest they'd be better or more mobile than Munir. If they came to the first team they'd be forced out on the wing (Just like Munir) and would show that they lack the dribbling skills or mobility to succeed there (Just like Munir) before the fanbase turns on them and calls them worthless (Just like Munir).

According to Cat Radio, Valverde told him before the Celta match that he will no longer count on him due to him deciding not to renew.

We have incredibly different interpretations of "setting the world on fire". Mbappe is doing that, not freaking Munir from 4-5 years ago. He was never anything special and it shows today. As for that one single and final call up for a friendly, it was to block him from potentially joining Morocco. Same story with Bojan 6 years prior.

We will figure that out in 5 years time. My previous points remain the same though. Ruiz and Mújica would likely contribute with as much as Munir has "contributed" with this season so far which is setting the bar incrediby low.

Good news.

If it's true that Munir is not going to play for us for the rest of the season, who do we play as striker in the Copa? Should we try testing Malcom in that position?
