Munir El Haddadi

KingMessi

SiempreBlaugrana
Starts Sundays game due to Neymar injury

Messi will help him out by scoring a few

I think Sandro may play a few minutes too. Though Munir is, in my opinion, more talented than Sandro, physically, Sandro is the more robust player and should be more able to handle playing against a physical side like Elche.

I wonder what Sanabria is thinking right now. He left being a most celebrated player of Juvenil A and giving that place to Munir. Now Munir spent preseason with the first team and highly hyped, while Sanabria is sitting on the bench of Sassuolo.

I don't think Sanabria was at any time better than Munir.

Guess that's why the club fought so hard to keep him then eh?...Nonsense, Tony...Nevertheless, Munir has exceeded most people's expectations and his progress in the last 18 months is nothing short of meteoric and far beyond what the club could've imagined

This is a better take on the comparison, IMHO...In the end, it was a calculated risk by Tony & his entourage compounded by his (And his family's) head being turned by the money that was being offered....Plus, in fairness to Sanabria, no cantera forward was getting many first team chances in prior season which includes the most hyped player at the club, Deulofeu

Of course, this is only 1 season later, a better comparison will come in 2-3 seasons

I don't think the club fought so hard to keep him, he was good but never lit up La masia like Dongou,Sandro and Munir playing for Juvenile A, and also of all the other three prospects, Sanabria was the only one who could not play on the wing, he was an old fashion number 9.

We have yet to see Munir show effectiveness on the wing, he too is a #9...Moreover, your recollection of the Sanabria saga is entirely inaccurate - the club pursued him heavily which included Tata meeting with the family & player...This was a far cry from the way they summarily kicked Thiago to the curb who wasn't just a Juvenil A talent

I didn't say Sanabria is not good, but anyway aren't we spoiled of choices ? we have so much talent in this 95 and 96 generation we even had to let Ebwelle go who is a terrific prospect.

Look, I'm thrilled that Munir has emerged as this incredible talent but it has to be said that it has been a surprise rather than expected/envisioned...I'm also saying there's no need to rewrite history in terms of Sanabria...He too was a great talent for the club, a talent the club had no desire to lose...I continue to hope it works out for him since their successes aren't linked to one another

That's what happens when you've so much talent coming through at the same time, some will definitely slip through the cracks, Sanabria, Keita Balde, Ebwelle all 95 and 96 generations, those three can easily become world class players.
