Sending him on loan was sthoopid IMO....He would've thrived playing as wide player in LVG's system...His link up play was always underutilized because crossing the ball was always the priority...I'd even pay 1-2 million to get him back during January because that would allow us to play Di Maria more centrally...

Maybe, but I think you guys need to move past him. He is one of the most inconsistent players I've ever seen.
Looking back though LVG wanted to play 3-5-2 with no wingers and Nani wouldn't fit that system, I'm sure he would've been kept if were playing 4-3-3. Nani still hasn't lost a lot of pace like I intially thought and would do quite well under LVG system, I miss having a proper 2 footed winger in our team, it made him a pain to defend against.
Nani move to Fenerbahce confirmed, loved him but guess injuries took his pace last season and never fully recovered. 4 titles, (1 with him as player of the season), 1 CL (Scoring in the penalty shootout), will be remembered as a frustrating player against the lower sides, but was excellent in the big games and scored some of the best goals for us.

People said the same about him and Messi, things change.
Same, wished he was given another chance. Remember him having a couple Di maria esque performances but that was in the between periods of not playing at all.
I've not seen that.A player that some United fans regard as Di Maria's equal just got sold for peanuts
There's no doubting Nani's talent but unfortunately he lacked the mentality and was unable to maintain it.

Nani is the type of player who needs to be loved for him to perform. He had 18-24 months were he was top level. That's not good enough in a 8 year career.
