Well once he was subbed on the game at that point Levante and we were content on how things were going. But he looked positive once he was subbed on though building off that momentum from the Celta leg.

In the document which Benfica always release after a transfer, they showed that Barcelona had paid 30.569.728 million euros for the Portuguese right-back. They also explained that for every 50 official games Semedo plays, Barcelona must pay an extra 5,094,955 euros, until he renews his contract for the first time.

So I think we'll give him a new contract in summer without having to pay any additional money to Benfica and then he'll become our regular starter.

It was reported at the time it was for duration of first two contracts and why would Semedo agree a contract without a raise and signing bonus which probably renders it pointless anyway.
