I'm satisfied with our fullback options. Alba, Roberto, Wague, Semedo, Firpo.

CB and Box to box midfielder is where we should look for signings. We need that 3rd midfielder who we can pair with Arthur - Frenkie. Ideally it should be a player with a great engine, good physique and attacking output. We basically have to find ourselves a Frank Lampard. A real no8.

You expect him to carry the game? ;D

Goethe once said: if we look at people and see the best they could become, we make them better because they will actively improve.

I am sure this works in personal relationships, not sure if this works over this forum though ;-D

Pretty much but I'd rather a De Bruyne tho. Less goals but more creativity and technique.

Hard as fuck to find such quality but not impossible.

not to forget he should be fast, as fast breaks and counter is what poses a threat to our offensive play style.
Even more as Pique & Umtiti & Lenglet all of them are Ok, but none is a worldclass sprinter. Which only a few CB are ... especially in older days....who remembers Paolo Maldini, who played for Milan till 41, the Italian greyhound hahahahha; or Baresi until 37.

Not the ideal fit but everything considered Eriksen is a great option. Huge stamina, assist and scores a lot. Regarding the psychique he reminds a bit of Frenkie, never tired and intensity.

I wanted him when we went for Coutinho. It’s potentially a 80m player we get for free,IMO way better than 90m for Ruiz or even 100 for Havertz.

Another thing Semedo improved on since he's become a starter is his press resistance on the ball.

He's doing a better job at fighting through it.

De Bryune would have been the perfect third midfielder for this current side.

Watched the match against Crystal Palace yesterday and he was simply superb. Workrate, pace, final pass etc. They guy is something else when he is fit. One of the most complete mids I have ever seen. He would thrive linking up with Messi, FDJ and Arthur. Unfortunately we were hit with a transfer ban in 2015 when he moved to City and even then we had our eyes set on freaking Arda Turan.

To be honest, De Bruyne was a big risk investment from City, paying around 75M for player who:

1. Flopped at Chelsea
2. Had one good season with Wolfsburg
3. Had close to 0 experience in the Champions League

10 goals and 20 assists in Bundesliga is impressive. But he was playing as a pure #10 which means he needed to adapt to a different formation if he were to suceed at City since they play 4-3-3. To do that you need a good coach.
I'm not sure De Bruyne is that much different from Coutinho. Mourinho used to say KDB was lazy and that he needed to work harder. And look where KDB is now, working his ass off every game.
