Nelson Semedo

Horatio

You're welcome
This guy keeps improving..:but not in all areas of the game unfortunately. His dribbling was great but still very little product in front.

On the other hand, maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to let him go to a top team under a good manager to have a laugh at you guys .

That's a strange response.

Serghei, you are too attached to the players you have eulogized here because of your high opinion of our own knowledge of football you don't want to admit that you could possibly gave been wrong. This sometimes leads to absurd arguments like in the Arthur thread.

I hope you don't take the above in a bad way because it's honestly coming from a good place. I also hope you dont think Im singleing you out because what I've described is incredibly common on the internet here, generally, and with all types of discussions and I myself have fallen foul of doing the same. If you took yourself less seriously I honestly think you would have a lot more enjoyable time here or generally discussing football.

I'm absolutely devastated. In the end it's best for each to stick to their own vision about football.

I will call you guys out for nuthugging a crap manager, understanding very little from tactics and such, and shitting on the players, and you will call me out for being delusional and too attached to the players. Fine by me.

No need for that Serghei. I thought I was very reasonable in my comment and you've decided to take it to heart again and reply back in typical arrogance. I don't understand how you have concluded that 'We don't understand tactics' just because we have a different tactical outlook than yourself.

Also the forums old chestnut of accusing someone of nuthugging Valverde to garner forum support is getting old. I've stated many times I've never wanted EV as manager, even when he was at Bilbao and even less now.

Leave it. I made numerous tactical analysis posts regarding how players like Arthur and Semedo suffer because the crap tactics on display, and not even one of you even attempted to tackle those things.

Nélson Semedo is no longer untransferable. Barcelona will listen to offers for the 26-year-old Portuguese. Technical secretary Éric Abidal is busy trying to find a new right-back. The club will also listen to offers for Wagué, who joined the first team this season. [md]

Finally. I’m sure he is a great player who might be great elsewhere but doesn’t fit us. Should go for Atal or R.Pereira or maybe get Emerson back and get Yan Couto who might be the next great Rb.

We need to be 100% sure about Emerson before we give up on Semedo, given the current state of poor quality right backs in world football. Semedo, like all other players, will improve with a better manager, but he has shown he has limitations no manager can fix. I would still try to turn him into a RCB and play him in a 3 with Todibo and Pique. Bulk him up a bit and use him like England used Kyle Walker in the WC.

Lost faith in Todibo.. I bet this is bulshit, as he hasn't played at all and when he did he showed great prospect. Many improvements needed but he has some great attributes.

I also said earlier we should try Semedo as a CB where he might be great especially in a 352 or any other kind of back 3.

This clip tells everything that’s wrong with Semedo: https://mobile.twitter.com/CaptnGuardiola/status/1208083843129004033

Such a low IQ Player

Him as a centreback looks as weird as Fati as a 9 to me. Both would have to bulk up a lot. Dont think thats easily possible. Abidal is pretty much the benchmark.

What? That he listens when his coach tells him to make a run?

 Exactly.

So, actually, Retardo is a low-IQ manager.

Here is the manager asking Semedo to do a run (bad option) rather than offer support for Pique (good option).

Btw, the guy said in the tweet:

232/5000
@BAnalyse I saw you tweeting the other day about the useless run of Semedo when Pique is under pressure at the clásico and we can clearly see here that it was a piece of advice from Valverde ... Another reason to hate him even more.
