Nelson Semedo

Even if we sell Semedo, I honestly believe we'll get Dalot or Bellerin on loan. We'll probably use that money to pay for Depay.

Wouldnt be the worst scenario. I am perfectly fine with Roberto+loan backup. And next year Emerson.

Me too. But if we'll get someone on loan it will probably be with obligatory buy next year.

Or maybe we should just get Emerson back now and give him a chance.

I do not trust Dalot or Bellerin. We also can't keep playing Roberto right-back. But I feel that's what we'll do.

We cant trust someone like Dest either. But right now its relatively pressure free. Roberto is fine. Get a body behind him (either a talent like Dest/Emerson or a shortterm backup) and we are set for now. We have bigger fish to fry.

Did anyone watch Gonzalo Montiel? I've heard good things about him and his contract with River is expiring next year so he'll probably come to Europe this year.

The way that canadian nobody player destroyed him is something players usually don't recover from, it's a shame because I was a Semedo believer, we should make some winger a RB because we have no money and there is nothing to buy, Roberto is never gonna be good enough.

How about Konrad?

Roberto is only a nominal RB.

I like Dest, but buying Dest now and selling Semedo will be a return to 2017 when Semedo was bought.
Playing Roberto in most (or most important) games while waiting for Dest to grow.
That 's good for Dest.
Problem is: until he develops enough, the RB position will be seriously impoverished with a midfielder who does not know how to move and what to do as RB, playing there.

Roberto has been a RB for half decade, his positioning is more than fine.
People need to stop "he is a midfielder" talk, it is like you have not updated yourself since windows 98
It is not like players are tagged with their position when they are born, and then never develop or change positions.
Some folks here kept arguing that Mascherano isn't a CB for 7 years, when he was clearly a CB, one of the best too

I am not basing my judgment on his past, but what I have seen from him since 2016 when he first played there.
His game is off at RB.
I can go into length why if you are interested
