I don't think that's the away kit, it is the back of the home. I think a hoop design would look good for another team, think Arsenal had one that looked ok but it is not Barca

Nike is a crap these days. All top teams they had have switched to Adidas, Puma etc (MU, Juve, Arsenal etc.). Only Barca, City & Inter are still with them.

I'm waiting for 2018 and kit deal with Adidas.

It's not fake... it's this board. The word going on it's the sales from the current kit were low. And they want something different to sell more. In some markets, where people are not that connected or even know Barça never had horizontal stripes, a different shirt might sell more.

I don't like this fan made design either, although is better than that abomination.
They usually leak the sketch design earlier, and in the end it's right. This board's last gift to the club, throwing away 115 years of tradition, the vertical stripes.

Can't the horizontal stripes be on the away kit so that we can keep with tradition for the home kit?

I would have even taken diagonal stripes (like Dortmund's) over full horizontal stripes. Not to mention that the horizontal stripes are going to make our players look fat.
