New Kits Thread

I don't think the Spanish FA (or whatever it's called) gets (all) the money from shirt sales. They probably have a deal to split them, or Adidas gets the sales money and pays a fixed fee to Spain. I doubt Adidas would sell millions of jerseys worldwide without making any money on them directly.

But Adidas are the sponsor. Why would Nike or Adidas pay millions to sponsor teams and then get money back? There is no point. They pay a fixed fee for exposure and association

They're also the manufacturer and at least with club teams often set up the shops for the team. Don't know about football, but by the breakdowns I've seen with other sports, the cut the team gets from a shirt sold isn't much, something like 15% or so.

I feel like Bayern could possibly make one hell of a classic and eternally quality kit with their colors if they did it right, but their kits are pretty average IMO. This season's were better than the new 13/14 ones

That's not how the partnership works. You're saying that Spain gets all the money from sold shirts. In numbers, it may be so, but in practice it doesn't work that way. That's not the direction the money goes in. Sales money goes to the manufacturer. What they do with it later is another story. Adidas gets the money from sales (most of it, anyway), and pays a most likely fixed fee for exposure to the Spanish FA.

I saw a graph a couple of months back that showed how much adidas makes of a shirt and how much it actually costs and how much of the money goes to the sponsored club/team. Let's see if I can dig it up and I will scan and post it (was in Germany's version of the Sunday Times). Was rather interesting.

They just added the horizontal red lines to the shirt and cut the red patch where the Puma logo was located.
Usually nice shirts.

I buy a kit every year and I'm not sure about this year yet. I don't care about the club that much, I just love well-designed kits (as long as it's not RM or Chelsea or something like that)
Can you guys think of a nice kit? A few kits I like are celtic, dortmund and Juventus, but I need new inspiration :pep:
