Hi all, I'm a European currently living in Singapore. I'm a Barce fan for many years now and feel very lucky to have enjoyed so many great football and memorable games during recent years.

I've been following your forum for several weeks now - so it's about time to contribute myself :)

I like most of the contributions and comments but feel that some are sometimes a little too hard on the team / some of the players.
I know that we all expect the team to outperform any opponent and always play the most enjoyable football - but maybe this is somewhat unrealistic.
Just a nice quote from a recent Guardian interview with Iniesta:

"We are now being judged according to a level of performance which is almost impossible to reach. But we've earned the right to be judged that way. It's a double-edged sword – the better you play the better you're expected to play all the time. When it doesn't happen then people start asking questions. We're not complaining, we wish things had gone that well for the last 50 years that the expectations had always been so high. But maybe people don't appreciate the difficulty sometimes."

That, of course, shouldn't prevent us from any critiscism or dissapointment at times. In order to remain one (the!) of the world's top clubs, also Barca will have to evolve and adapt its game (slightly) when it is needed.

Anyway, good luck to all.

Hey, welcome!

As you noted yourself, people have become critical. But that's mostly because we know what this team is capable for.
It's one thing to be grateful and admire what they achieved but that doesn't mean we should live in the past either.
