Which is why he's so frustrating. When he runs at players he can easily get past them, but instead he ends up doing something else.
While for Brazil obviously he's effective.
He gets past players in pretty much every Barca game he's playing. He is probably our 2nd best dribbler in terms of successful take-ons behind only Messi. His Brazil role is more central to the team. At Barcelona, he is not the main man. I think it's pretty logical to show more and be more effective when you mean more for a certain team, and that team knows it.
It is not a coincidence that Neymar was the best player in the world and Barcelona's creative center while Messi was injured. When Messi is on, he takes care of that role for us, and he does it brilliantly. So, naturally, Neymar is more restricted than when he's playing for Brazil.
