If it's not linked to the salary, then I'm with you guys. Why are our release clauses so low compared to recent market trends?

The club tend to believe that our best players will reject these clauses being met if they're happy and 200 million has always been a fantasy number that no one would reach. Bollocks to that from now I say. The market is changed and now we'll need something like 500 to be the new standard.

I think it is linked somehow to salary, years and other factors. We aren't pushing for maximum numbers most probably. And also I am not sure that RM buyout clauses reported is really that accurate either.
But I don't think it is wide open, it isn't like other clubs in Spain have 500M buyout clauses in all their contracts. Most players in midtable Liga clubs has buyouts around 20M-80M. Doubt all this clubs are incompetent and RM are the only one who can get their players to obey them with the release clauses

PSG have definitely attempted to bid big on him but how do we know its close to happening? All I see are sources that are either not reliable at all or some that medium reliable.

Is there any highly rated source that has clearly said that its almost on the verge of happening? I haven't followed all the pages here so asking.

At any rate neymar not coming clean on these rumors is really shitty thing from him. Why doesn't he just come out and say I am happy at Barca.
