This saga will probably continue next season, but Neymar's buyout would then be 250 M, which combined with our yearly transfer budget would certainly be enough to buy both Dembele and another 1-2 world class players.

In that sense I'm fine with Neymar staying for another season and Barca possibly getting 30 more M for him next summer. Also, in 2018 Dortmund will likely be more willing to sell and Dembele will be ready to move on to bigger challenges.

If Neymar stays beyond 2018, then it's also a nice scenario.

This is a win-win for Barca.

From the club's perspective you can't really make this official. If the club release an official statement about Neymar staying but Neymar changes his mind, they'll look like even bigger fools than they already are. At this point, Pique's statement is our best bet.
