Neymar Jr. - v5

One crucial thing that people haven't talked about is the role Neymar is gonna play if he stays under Valverde. We saw a glimpse of it vs. Juve, with Messi more deeper and assisting and Neymar playing more as a striker, he could end up with more goals than Leo next season, so it makes sense for him to stay from a Footballing perspective for him.

It's not a matter of time, they don't know if it's gonna get sorted out without PSG dealing some players, but then the team would be weaker. Neymar Sr. was offered some complex business involving 3rd parties and he did not accept. UEFA warned PSG when the deal was about to be signed. They want a deal that not only is legit, but also looks legit.

Neymar's camp feel that a great CL + Great WC can get him the Ballon D'or because he thinks neither Messi or Ronaldo will do much in the World Cup. So 17/18 or 18/19 are his best chances to win that award, he wont risk missing the CL in this or in the next year.

Nobody remembers a player by the number of Ballon D'ors they won. His legacy will be defined by his performances on the pitch the number of trophies he can win just like every other player. If he cares so much about a meaningless Golden Ball he can fuck off right now for all I care. People will remember moments like his free kick vs PSG and goal vs Juve in the CL Final to seal the deal more than they will look to any subjective award to determine his impact on the game.

MessiNeymar, I may be wrong but I remember Messi had a down year, no? With messi is hard to say down "year". Maybe down "semester" this but he had a year where he was out due to injuries and didn't play as well. They only signed with Barcelona because they thought that Neymar would took over the team around this age (26-28).

GetIn, Right or wrong, their plan since Neymar was 12yo prospect is to get Neymar the Ballon D'or. Again, I wont discuss if they are correct or not. Just saying. Neymar Sr. was a frustrated football player and put all his dreams on his son.

That's because you may think it's all about the money. It's not. I wont touch the discussion if he's good enough to be the best player in the world or if he's better off playing behind Messi or leading his own team. This is up for debate, but Messi's new contract alarmed Neymar Sr. that Messi wont be gone anytime soon. Neymar would be 30yo at the earliest before he can get a chance to lead the team.

I'm sorry but if it was city-chealsea-bayern i would say it is 50% money 50% sport and personal glory. But he is moving to ligue 1, which is a step Under the big leagues, so yeah, it is about the money if he is willing to move. That's why the story seems inconsistent to me.

Don't kid yourself, Messi could play CB and would still score more goals than Neymar. This is perhaps the most ridiculous thing I've read all day.

Bayern would never match his wage demands, he'd have to be quite the fan to ever move there.

They don't have the money to get Neymar out of Barça and pay his salary. PSG is the only team that can/is willing. He knows the lack of prestige of Ligue 1, that's why CL is fundamental.

yeah i just spoke hypothetically, because our brazilian poster said only the champions league sanction is hindering the deal, which seems BS to me. A player who decides to move to Ligue 1 for money would never care about the champions league or anything sport-related.

We can't.
Barca is dead without Neymar.

Barca never existed before Neymar and will never exist after Neymar.
Neymar is Barca.
Neymar is football.

We can't afford to lose him.
Such an influental player and a matchwinner.

And an honest, true cule guy.

Plus he has demolished Juventus single handedly in a preseason match by two goals and Messi hasn't score any. How about that haters!

Neymar is a global star. If he goes to Ligue 1 viewers & sponsors will follow.

edit: I also don't know that FFP will be an issue for PSG. They have 4-5 players to move, had a budget of 220m euros before sales, while clubs are given a 3 year period to balance their books.

In: Neymar

Out: Di Maria(?), Aurier, Ben Arfa, Krychowaik, Jese.

The biggest issue will be the wage structure.

Unless you're Neymar you can't say they are lies.

Sure. Re-read this thread since Friday. One day he's gone, the other day players convinced him to stay. Then on Sunday he was ready to leave and his father was looking for a house in France, then Piqué convinced him to stay. Now they're saying "Neymar doesn't know why Piqué posted that picture".

If he was convinced to stay why didn't him post a damn tweet about it? Why he remains silent even after Piqué said he'd stay? Or why hasn't him confirmed the negotiations? Why remain silent? PSG is willing to pay the release clause and he's willing to leave. So, before he made his mind again why didn't they just deposit the money and fled Neymar to Paris before he could think twice?

If it was a matter of 'he was convinced to stay" they had multiple windows to do this. They didn't because they have to work on the deal to comply with UEFA's FFP. That's it. If you want to believe the drama, good for you. What I heard from reliable sources is what I posted here last Saturday and it remains factual.

Neymar trusts his had with his life. Ain't no player making him doubt his father. Trust this.
