I think that works when you sign a contract on agreed upon price. I don't think you can enforce Anti-Madrid clause on complete buy out.

That probably plays a role. but Neymar requested Raul Sanllehi, in a meeting a couple of days ago as Neymar has known him the most out of all the Barca executives. I wouldn't doubt Neymar either requested Coutinho or that Sanllehi promised him to get Coutinho and even Paulinho.

Hell we weren't even linked with Coutinho in awhile, We were mostly linked with Paulinho and Verratti for ages now. and sure enough out of the blue we made a bid for him and Sanllehi,Soler and Robert are no longer with the team on the tour.

Not saying this is 100% true but it gets you thinking.
