Yes because they have to pay Neymar to buyout his own contract as per laws in Spain. And they can't pay Barca directly (this is legal) as Barca refuse to negotiate with them.
The way they are getting around is to have QSI sign Neymar as a sponsor to the 2022 World Cup that is worth 300m and Neymar will use that money to break his Barca contract and sign to PSG all of while avoiding the French regulations. Neymar will join PSG as a free agent and the transfer wont even effect PSG's transfer budget this summer
lol. The deal is shady as fuck and goes against everything that FFP tried to prevent.
Whether it is illegal or not is still unclear but no doubt it will be investigated.

Great if its true. All the $$ or no Neymar. If they are as desperate as they seem to be they will either have to sign him illegaly and face sanctions or give us 200m + Verratti.

Well they pay the player not the club, so yeah, it does count as a form of salary, but only by French not Spain.

Guys forget about Verratti, Nasser probably promised him a mountain of gold after Verratti made his "little" act, he even changed his agent (the one who said that PSG was like a prison). Maybe he wanted to come but right now it looks like he is just like Neymar, he wants money over anything else, and that's totally respectable, that's his choice, but that means he is not going to be happy with a lower salary here at Barcelona.

It seems its not illegal. UEFA can't really have a say in those type of deals. Neymar signs a 300M sponsorship contract, which is perfectly legal, he activates his release clause with that money - legal becomes a free agent and signs with PSG - perfectly legal. UEFA can't regulate or have a say how and with whom Neymar signs a sponsorship deal or that he can activate his release clause with that money, their hands are tied.

Why are we so concerned about the sources of their revenue ?. Let Uefa worry about. All i'm concerned about is us getting the 222 million and Neymar getting the fuck out. We've reached the end of july and we still have 2 or 3 signings to make. Teams are always unwilling to part with their players close to the start of the season.
