I'm not a Neyfanboy btw, ignore the username :blondemessi: . Hate that little rat.

Not going to change it though. Same as my reddit acc and I don't really give two shits about usernames

Fact of the matter is he chose to leave probably because of his dad (that video msg stinks of PR bs and a bid to retain as many fans of his brand). But it's not as hard a choice as many seem to think. More money, chance for personal glory and a new challenge. He did win everything with us after all. Also I think PSG is trying to get the entire Brazil team together which is pretty good for them for the WC. Kind of like how Spain benefited off of Barca. Was he good for us? Of course he was. Was he 222 mil good? Hell no. For every great dribble and goal there were also the numerous times he got dispossessed, slowed an attack, committed a foul etc. Last season he struggled to score goals as we all know. The 222 mil is low for his brand value and marketing value. However if we consider purely on field impact. This is far far more than what he is worth. Moreover he benefited a lot from having team mates of this quality. They took a lot of pressure off him. This won't be the case in the UCL when he plays for PSG. He'll find that defenses can be a lot more crowded than what he's used to. I think it's time we move on and look forward to the upcoming signings and the team for this season. Anyway it's quite unbecoming for us to spend any more time and energy over this. We needn't fret so much we're not going to drop off just because one guy left. We'll be fine. We might even be better if we reinvest wisely.

Regarding PSG. This no doubt makes them stronger but not as big of a threat as Bayern, Madrid, Atletico and Juve as far as we are concerned. I'd like to see Bayern vs PSG in the UCL. A repeat of germany vs brazil 7up would be funny.

Maybe this forum will have a moment of peace now that Neymar is gone. Those NeyWars were awful, we lost some good members to them like Flavia.

People in this forum has turned against Neymar for accepting PSG's offer. It is not the player fault, it is the fault of PSG for paying exorbitant amount for a player. Neymar will be making 5x/year for a guaranteed 5 years the salary from Barça. In on other words, it will take Neymar 25 years to make in Barcelona what he makes in 5 years for PSG. A professional football player is always at risk of one injury ending his career. Everyone calls Neymar a traitor, money grabber scum. No one in this board is at risk of not being able to continue with his/hers profession because of a career ending injury. Therefore, it is very easy to talk.

I am going to really miss the magic from the MSN trio. It was fantastic while it tasted. However, I would have done the same thing Ney did, If I were him. It is not his fault; it is PSg's fault, imho.

Players usually cover that risk by taking a huge insurance policy.

Players usually cover that risk by taking a huge insurance policy.

Players and teams take insurance policies, but they do not cover 100% of the salary not even close. In addition, there is a limit you can insure a player for. These are called disability insurances. I know about them, because my wife had a huge one being a physician with her own practice. Trust me, she never wanted to end her career before retirement, disability insurance or not.
