He is a great player, but many a times I've seen him vastly overrated on here, especially after he left.

He was very inconsistent in his time here.

The only time he had a great complete season was in 14/15.

In 13/14 he was injured a bit and was still integrating into the team.

In 15/16 he had that great period of form between November and December while Messi was out, but post January he was often one of the worst players on the pitch and had me pulling my hair out.

16/17 was perhaps his worst season here out of the four. We expected him to take the next step, but he just stagnated and regressed. The only saving grace for him last year was the performance against PSG, which masked the rest of his shortcomings.

He was Barcelonas second best player last season and one of top five players in the world.

Load of bollocks to make out all he did was that PSG game.

He was only our second best player last season because the entire team bar Messi massively unperformed.

Our midfield was the worst it's been in many years, almost the entire defense had off-years, Stegen wasn't the consistent wall he is now and Suarez had already massively dropped off. So in amongst those players on abysmal form, yes, he may have been second best. Umtiti still gives him a run for his money IMO.
