The BO clause + a WC player like Di Maria? Adn you reject only to make them pay more taxes? LOL. This may resonate well with fans but it's bad business from Barça. Delaying this will only hurt the team even more. Is Barça willing to waste one year of a prime Messi? If so, then do it. Fights, leaks, and other bad things will only increase if they try to force Neymar to stay.

"Oh, but this is a WC year". His spot is secured. Brazilian players don't care about legacy and all that crap. Most of them grew poor as fuck, they couldn't care less about 1st world things like 'legacy'. They play for fun and for money, very little else. He wouldn't have any in Barcelona.

If it's necessary he may even score an own goal in El Classico.

Its not bad bussines at all, as you yourself said Europeans do care about legacy, image and all those first world things you described, not all about cash and fun for a club with such a tradition you see. As of Barcelona, Neymar is not for sale, its not negotiable, he does have a buyout clause though, so to get Neymar you have to cash out the clause or bugger of, very simple.

If he does any of that the manager will most likely force him to be on the bench or, best case scenario for him, play with Barca B. That will not help him prepare for the WC at all. He will be ridiculous out of form coming to the WC.

Monaco have/had the best young French talent that would certainly be an upgrade to the players PSG have, so why isn't PSG after those players? Especially considering PSGs top player like Cavani, Di Maria, Silva, Matuidi are all around 30 or older. Why sign a near retired Dani Alves if they could just buy an elite RB in their prime? Why sign crap like Ben Arfa or second rate players like Jese, Trapp, Krychowiak or Yuri?

I think you severely overestimate their ability to attract good players who also have opportunities to go play in the top European clubs and earn less money.

PSG signed Kurzawa from Monaco two years ago and were after Fabinho & Mbappe this summer. Could have signed Fabinho as he wanted to come and terms were agreed to, but Monaco refused to sell. Nasser and Antero Henrique also met with Mbappe's father/agent multiple times, selling them on the idea of Mbappe becoming a star in the city he was born and raised in. According to reports Mbappe's father was attracted to the proposal but the player didn't commit despite showing interest. If RM doesn't sign him this summer, I believe PSG has a very good chance of replacing Cavani with Mbappe next season. The addition of Neymar will go a long way in attracting more WC players to PSG going forward, especially Brazilians.

If will be a shame if the club lets go a player like this. He will bring PSG UCL titles in the next 5 years for sure.

Sad!

lol at you trying to imply Neymar has any power if he stays. Worst case scenario is it will just mean we get more money when his clause increases next year.

I didn't imply anything, I wrote what I meant. You'll waste another year of Messi because Neymar wont do shit. Quite the contrary, he'll work against if necessary. You already lost one year with him, without him and without replacements will be even worse. Remember that you got destroyed by PSG and Juve back to back road games in the CL, if not for Neymar you'd be out earlier. You need a stronger midfield, Xavi is long gone and Inesta is declining, you lost a playmaker from the right wing in Alves and haven't replaced him (one thing Neymars disliked a lot), now you're about to lose a playmaker from the left wing and your board is rejecting 222m + Di maria at the end of July just to make them pay more taxes.

You need midfielders badly and you are after a box-to-box on. And no, don't put paulinho on Neymar. He's prolly the only brazilian player that doesn't stay attached to other brazilian players. Neymar Sr created an entourage for him and when he leaves his friends he likes to party with Brazilian TV Stars or Hollywood stars. It's your management that likes and want Paulinho. Yes, this may hurt you but it's true. Lima is the only one he wanted in Barcelona but that's because his father manages him and in fact Lima would be an upgrade for Barcelona and costing almost nothing. It's not because he's Neymar's friend.

This Board is watching the second best team of all time go and ain't replacing anyone. The next one may be forced to do a complete revamp and lose more of Messi's productive years.

Of course PSG wants to negotiate but if not, they'll play the chicken game with Barça, if they don't chicken they pay the clause + the taxes and you'll have a lot of money but no time to sign anyone great...

Madrid have won the champions league three out of the four years he was here. He has also caused distractions off the pitch, brought the clubs image down.

Dumbest argument I've heard in a while. You Ney lovers need to stop trying to justify every single thing he does and recognize he does have flaws. Messi draws the same amount attention from defenders if not more and you never see him go down like he's been shot. Ever wonder why?

It's simple;

Messi doesn't try to embellish and dive on the slightest contact, but rather looks to keep playing as long as possible and when he does go down he's back up in a second or two.

Neyboy on the other hand acts like he's been scoped by a sniper from the top of Camp Nou every time a defender even breathes on him. The way Neymar goes down after a tackle or contact you'd think that his career is over and he does this repeatedly during every match. Notice all those theatrics usually lead to no injury and he gets back up after the ref decides not to award a foul or card?

The difference is day and night, there is a reason he is universally hated outside of Brazil and Barca fans.

Either you don't watch much matches, or the hatred for neymar runs so deep that you can't see the truth.

Pointing out a few examples of him going down easily means jack. If you actually watch the match as a neutral spectator you will be shocked by how many rough tackled he recieves. Also his diving has been cut by a large by now. If you think he still dives a lot then you should stop watching football entirely. He dives way less than an an average footballer, and there are numerous instances these days where he is fouled and instead of going down he stays up and continues even though he can easily go down and get an easy foul.

There are no official stats about how many times he dived and how many times he didn't but if you watch the matches regularly you will know he dives very rarely.

Your hyperbole about his diving and all is just very clear proof that you can't digest the fact that he is leaving. Call him a cunt for leaving and betraying and all that kind of shit, but don't let it distort the real truth for you about how he used to play.

Madrid have won the champions league three out of the four years he was here. He has also caused distractions off the pitch, brought the clubs image down.

Yes. Exactly. Neymar is the reason not just for the downfall of barca. He is also the reason Madrid performed so great.

Needs to go now in my opinion, as great as he is, we've had and lost better. Fernandez & Bartomeu's last chance to save their jobs by wrangling Verratti from them in the process. Visca Barca!
