The "both" option would be ideal, but knowing that it is a really close call,99% of the people would vote for that option, which means that the poll would be "useless"

Both along with Messi have been absolutely crucial and brilliant this season for the most part which our results and the statistics clearly show. Without our tridente we would not be 3 wins away from winning another historic triplete.

If I would have to pick between those 2 I would say Suárez. Simply because he offers unique characteristics and strengths to the team that neither Neymar or even Messi are able to offer us. Suarez was the final cherry on the cake that was lacking. An ENORMOUS upgrade compared to Pedro who was one of our 3 main attacking players last season.

That's not to say that Neymar, especially in terms of goal scoring, has not been brilliant. Especially against the top teams that we have faced home and abroad. Same story with Súarez.

suarez was the guy that really transformed us and was the final piece in the jigsaw, we all saw how bad we were after he went off against bayern.

That was more due to the attitude of the whole team, being in energy saving mode and Bayern being a very strong team.
Had that been Pedro for Neymar it would not have made much of a difference.

true. but i really way suarez has changed the dynamics of our attacking play. without him we couldn't play the style we do now that gets the most out of everybody. even though neymar has had the better year i think it wouldn't be possible without suarez.

Keeping aside what each brings to the table (verticality, pace, goals, agressivity, etc..), and the fact that the sum of the front 3 produces something far greater than their individualities, I'd have to say Suarez, just because it's supposedly his adaptation season to a new league in a very peculiar team/system, and he's overachieved in it.

If the MSN keeps the bromance and symphony between them, I can not wait to see what next season will look like ! :)

There really should be a "both" option.

The trident is working because of the 3 players. Any of them replaced, and it wouldn't be the same.

¡Gr?*cies Xavi!
It's even IMO. Suárez is the key to make the trident work with his movement and impressive work rate, while Neymar has a habit of scoring against the stronger opposition and is mostly on the end of assists from Messi and Luisito.

If there was a "both" option 99% would vote for that.It is obvious that the 2 players are really close, the point of the poll is to see who had even slightly better season.

This is how i think about it.

Well, the season is not over yet. If one of them scores the winner in the cl final, that would be my pick.

No question about the ranking of importance *to the tactical system*: Messi, Suarez, Neymar.

It's easy to sum up Neymar's most important contribution: good in-behind runs and clinical finishes in some games where those finishes were important. Second, some will say that his presence on the left touch occupies defenders fearful of his attack. I personally am not convinced, as I see him as usually ineffective except when around the 18 yard box.

On the other hand, Suarez center/ Messi right *is* the creative engine of this attacking system. With the false 9 rarely effective except in certain situations, having a dangerous creative #9 has been key to this new Barça's success, whether or not Suarez gets on the scoreboard. He is important in every game he plays. He occupies the centerbacks, giving Messi room to work his magic (including countless crosses to Neymar at the back post). Inside the box, Suarez is second only to Messi in creating a goal out of absolutely nothing.

All have executed their roles well, but it's Suarez, hands down, for me. If I had to give up one of the three players, I'd be keeping Messi and Suarez.
