Yeah they don't play in any international friendlies, tournments or anything. They just pump iron, go to strip clubs and drive around usually a daily routine.

Would be nice weather for the outdoor stadiums. Americans are fixed on having Thanksgiving games, holiday games in the snow and playoffs wrapping up in early Feb.

too many broken bones in the regular season & playoffs for that corb. a lot of the off season is recovery and vacation but when teams meet up in the summer for training camp, it gets grueling again.

pretty much. although a lot of those guys are elite athletes and train vigorously throughout the year. they are always doing something to stay active. superbowls are won or lost during the offseason (a little different culture).

similar to mma, football is highly dependant on out training your opponent as there is a lot of 1 on 1 matchups. the offseason is extremely important to coaches and players who are serious about winning in the playoffs.

Two problems, first the players probably cannot stand a much longer season. At least that's what they claim. Keep in mind that this game really is demanding on your body. And second it seems Americans are not interested in football during spring. There've been a copule attempts to start a spring football league and they all failed.

There is this huge growing controversy about concussions the players are getting. It's something the NFL doesn't like to talk about, next to gambling. There has been a lot of stuff happening to veteran players after they retire. So yeah, I'd say for the next few months they're letting their brains literally rest.
