Leao has the highest potential.

Nico has been disappointing this season. Diaz isn't good enough or too old.

None of these guys are perfect.

Nico has the best chemistry with the squad from the Spanish national team and he cooked with Yamal. Leao comes with the highest potential and upside but is lazy. Diaz is 28 already, so good chance the best behind.

This is pretty obvious, any forward would feast playing with Lamine by their side. Just look at Baby Shark this season.
Exactly my point. Great players like Lamine will have “great chemistry” with plenty of players.

It gets overblown with Nico likely cause they have good relationship off the pitch and made tik tok dance videos together.

The biggest question that should decide this debate is if we belive Leao can be more disciplined and motivated if he comes here. He's the best player at Milan, the standards are lower and it got to his head, how would he react if he came here and would be just another player surrounded by better players or at least player on his level?

Ability wise he's better than Nico, that's clear but I could see Barca going for any of the three and I think non of them would be a real flop if they came. Good, not great options.

Can somebody tell me about the LW obsession? As if the wings have been trash this season. 60-70m is much better spent elsewhere. I would understand getting a cheaper backup with potential for less than half the price but why a definitive starter when we have much bigger issues at CF, GK and fullback?

Need a player who can stretch the pitch from the left side, someone to combine with Balde - that can also move centrally or switch flanks

Currently, it’s very one dimensional on that flank vs Lamine’s side

Raphinha is all over the pitch and even in the winner in CL, he made his run from his preferred right side but he’s never dribbling to create space on that left

Depth is important on the wing but also a different profile who will force teams to double up, we saw it repeatedly in Euro when paired with Lamine

There is a debate about LWs so we are talking about them, not other position. I agree with you, ST and GK would be my first buys but it's almost impossible to get rid of Lewa and MATS so why talk about it?

You would be a liar.

Typical lol

PS never listen to a man that highly rates De Jong.

EVER.

Blue pill taker confirmed…again.

Lamine has great playmaking skills and great long pass.
Nico adds depths and not selfish.

Of course Lamine will get the ball to Nico often, or Nico passes it to Lamine.

Easy.

We have two good wingers. They are Raphinha and Lamine.

If one is injured. We are screwed. If both are injured we are completely fucked.

So we need depth, but what did we learn from Bartomeu’s era and how other teams do it? Don’t sign bums as depth. We have enough of them as it already is.

So we need a winger to compete with our two starters and rotate with them.

Since both Raphinha and Lamine are left footed and can slot in at RW it makes sense to sign a right footed LW.

Does it mean we need a massive money signing? Not necessarily, but it need to be someone with the ideal profile of pace + 1v1 ability that isn’t a Ferran or Ansu-esque drop-off in quality.

But we also need a new starter at striker and ideally depth at LB and RB.

Although if Kounde or Balde gets injured they can find a way to survive in the short-term. Can put Araujo at RB and if truly desperate even Inigo at LB as he has played there very sporadically throughout his career at La Real.

If Lamine/Raphinha are out we have seen how it impacts our ability to do anything goalscoring wise.

So it makes sense to sign a LW and/or a ST in the summer depending on our budget and who is available.

Athletic are pretty much secured top8 but there's like a 10% chance for them to drop out so I guess Valverde would field a proper team today.
