Nuri Sahin

You are a Milanista.. u know all about dirty play ;) ..dirty as in get his hands dirty

Sahin in the games he played last season was more of a traveler ...stuck to passing only which is not enough for his position

Beast is right. You are going to need to be aggressive against some teams such as Barca and Munich because they will have a considerable amount of possession. Madrid players will be chasing the ball and Sahin isn't the type whos going to be able to handle several attacks in a 10-15min period which could happen against the big teams. Best to have players who can play a good defensive game and with a flick of a switch go straight into their natural passing game.

So arsenal player yet?

Sid Lowe reckons he's still going to Arsenal whilst Balague said his agent met with Liverpool yesterday stating Sahin wants all options on the table. If we get an option to buy I reckon we'll get him.....maybe.

Another twist:-

Real Madrid's Nuri Sahin set for Liverpool as Arsenal end interest

By Ben Smith
BBC Sport

Liverpool are confident of completing the loan signing of Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin on Friday after Arsenal ended their interest.

The Reds offered to pay a larger proportion of Sahin's £115,000 wages, swinging the deal in their favour.

There will also be an option to buy the player for £14m at the end of the loan.

"Hopefully in the next 24 hours we'll get some confirmation," said Reds boss Brendan Rodgers. "It's quite far [along]. He's a very good footballer."

Sahin had been expected to join Arsenal, having privately expressed a preference for the north London club but Liverpool and Real have now agreed a deal.

Real boss Jose Mourinho had given the go ahead for Sahin to move to the Premier League after the playmaker struggled to make an impression at the Bernabeu since a move from Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund last summer.

Sahin signed a six-year deal with the La Liga outfit but made just 11 appearances for them last season as they won the Spanish league title.

It's clear that he should have stayed at Borussia Dortmund for at least another season before making a move to a club the size of Real Madrid.

BBC retracted the option to buy part and seems that's the reason Arsenal pulled out and allowed Liverpool back in. £5m is huge for a years loan since Real paid double that for his permanent transfer. It's worth the risk for Liverpool who are trying to get where Arsenal already are, without CL football it's difficult to attract top players, so if Sahin's available, even for a year its worth a shot. Plus by seasons end, Sahin may decide he quite enjoys Anfield and pushes for a permanent deal.

Gutted he's not coming to Arsenal.

£5m encompasses his wages. It isn't simply a loan fee. Which I've now been told.

A 100k a week over the course of a year is 5.2m. We lodged with Real a higher percentage of wages that we will cover. I believe we offered to cover 100% of it whilst Arsenal offered only 40%. This is what I've been told.
