Óscar Mingueza

Oscar is a great guy. I'm sure Koeman felt bad when Mingueza arrived to the bench showing class and maturity.

I'm fairly sure his question to Koeman was "what did I do wrong boss?" with his eagerness to learn.

You don't react like that, especially to a youngster who's having a great season. S.Roberto made many mistakes but no reactions from RK.
As usual nobody says antything ever to senior players but gets all angry for little thibgs at new signings or youngsters.
Same with the subs. It woukd piss me of greatly as a player to get slaughtered for a little mistake then see some guy screwing up worse and he gets a pass.

This happened right after Getafe scored the 3-2 and Barca was in serious danger to drop points. Koeman was nervous and tensed up, surely also very pissed that Getafe had the opportunity to come back into the game after Barca was leading by 2. Giving away stupid goals and penalties happened way too often this year. I'd be pissed too.

Oscar is a great guy, Koeman is a great guy. What Mingueza did at the bench was a class act, but as a coach you don't want to talk about these things during an intense game. Koeman was focused on the game that was still far from over, probably thinking about solutions. I understand Mingueza, but there is enough time to talk about that after the game.

Of course Koeman overreacted there, but I prefer a vocal coach who sometimes gets pissed than someone like EV who just kneed there without any reaction. At times a team needs that, especially when a game is on the edge.

?My position with him may be a bit exaggerated. He?s having a great season. The only thing that I think young people have to learn is that if you play for Bar?a you have to always be involved in games,? he said.

?It?s complicated. Pedri wasn?t there either. His level. Neither was Araujo. The change was not out of anger, but to put Frenkie on the right and give Umtiti minutes, which he deserves.

?I have spoken to Mingueza after the game and there is no problem. If there?s one player who?s having a great season, it?s him.?

Only thing I could think of that might have pissed him off in that exact situation was Mingueza nutmegging his marker in a risky situation, which led to the Trincao attack. Had he not completed the nutmeg, Getafe could have had a dangerous attack.

Would be the first time I see a Barca coach react like that. I don't think it's overly risky what Mingueza did (if this is what Koeman was pissed about), I mean we've all seen worse risks taken by our defenders.

Another thing could be that he ran forward to join the attack after the nutmeg, leaving the whole wing vulvernable for a counter attack. But then again, it's Barca, and we're supposed to attack for 90 minutes. It's not the first time that happens.

All in all, as Koeman himself said, it was an exaggeration. Probably due to how the match was looking at that point, behindbrowneyes described it good.

I hope he turns out to be an amazing CB. ONe of our weakest positions since the Guardiola days.

A barcelona with solid defesive line would be amazing to watch

I think the incident is good for both Mingi and Koeman. The Dutchman showed leadership, although I believe it was harsh to take him out. The kid will learn, he got carried away with helping Messi. I knew the moment Trincao got the ball the attack wil end there.

No problems. Settled it like men and we move.

Vamonos, raise the army and march to Villareal, the grounds of the famous El Paco of Alcacers.

Finally a coach that isn't scared to raise his voice

Against a youngster ?? Pique will eat Koeman alive if he did it to him & maybe remind him how many times he fucked up as a player & Cruyff didn't ride on him to show "leadership"
