Let's wait a bit. Maybe this is a normal 1 month off thing in the end. Refuse to think he'll miss the rest of the season again.

The good part is no one will buy him if it happens. So we at least get him to continue for low money.

In a way it's good he got injured now to show the club he is not reliable to spend big money on in terms of wages and long contract.

Its been a long time since Dembele last got injured you know.

In fact this was his first injury under Xavi who's been in charge for nearly 18 months or so...

He was pushed and played game after game and picked up an injury, it can happen to any player, not surprising and not worrying considering it's the first time it's happened with Xavi.

Dembele's minutes after the WC final (after playing the maximum number of games possible in the tournament with no rest):
Dec. 31st: 28' against Espanyol as a sub despite just having come back
Jan 4th: 105' against Intercity
Jan 8th: 90' against Atleti
Jan 12th: 63' against Betis
Jan 15th: 78' against Madrid
Jan 22nd: 90' against Getafe
Jan 25th: 84' against Sociedad
Jan 28th: 26' against Girona until the injury

The only game he sat out was against Ceuta for Copa during that period.
That's 564' in total in less than 1 month

For comparison, he played 450' from Oct 12th to Nov 8th (equal time interval)

Yes, go tell me again that Xavi is not an imbecile (tactically speaking) who can't win against Girona or Getafe w/o him, and plays him fucking 105 minutes to qualify against might Intercity

For the numpties that pretend it's still 2018 or 2019, let's remind them a stat:

Dembele's muscle injuries from August 2020 (Koeman arrival) till Girona game: ZERO

The injury is not what i'm afraid of in his situation, it's more about how he'll be managed after the injury...

Mentallly speaking he's really strong and almost always usefull pretty quickly after coming back from an injury but take your time and don't press yourself even if it's for clasico for instance

A footballer at his physical prime, should be able to handle continuous games, while also getting substituted for rest almost every time.
Many players around the world do that for years.
Physical injuries can happen. Dembele has a bad past with injuries for whatever reason.
I don't see anything wrong with playing our first eleven when available. The team is building chemistry and we need to, if we want to beat the likes of ManU.
Xavi is the best manager for Dembele. He is having the best games of his career.
There is not a single critique anyone can make for Dembele without you (@Birdy) jumping at his defense and mitigating blame.

Issue 407 of the CIES Football Observatory Weekly Post presents the players who have performed best in the area of take on over the past year on the basis of an exclusive index based on 100 taking into account the frequency of successful dribbles and crosses, playing time, as well as the sporting level of matches played. Vin?cius J?nior and Kevin De Bruyne round up the podium for offensive players. Seventh overall, Kylian Mbapp? is the highest-ranked footballer among those who played primarily in the centre of the attack. Three players who have not yet turned 20 appear in the top 100: Jude Bellingham, ?ngelo Gabriel (Santos FC) and Jamal Musiala.
