Just for fun, a certain user's excuse for Dembele not scoring goals and providing enough assists is because he's a "true winger, whose job is to dribble and create from the touchline." Compare Dembele's heatmap to Salah's and Neymar's

And just look at Neymar's during his highest scoring season at PSG (17/18), what a joke that heatmap is. Shows that you can be all over the pitch, versatile, and still score a shitload of goals if
you're good enough. Reinforces my belief that the reason behind Dembele's poor end product isn't because he's a special super type of winger, it's because he's just not good enough (poor movement and finishing). He gets comparable touches in the box and on the touchline to Salah, and has scored 10 less goals in the league. Confirms my eye test that a lot of so called "wide forwards" in top teams spend a lot of time on the touchline like regular wingers, or at the very least not any different to what Dembele does as Birdy would like you to belief.
(You are all welcome to compare Dembele to other high profile, better scoring wingers. You'll get similar results.)
