He's still young. Only 22. Wasn't Robben very injury prone in his young days? I seem to remember people calling him glass legs.

It happened before that players changed their fortune and became healthy. Messi is one of them btw.
But it is rarity tbf. Odds are against him and tbh I think a change could be best for everyone.
Also, Robben played at least 28 games per season until the age of 26, Dembele at the age of 22/23 fails to do so twice. Robben never reached only 9 games in a season during 18 years career, Dembele will achieve that. i.e he makes Robben look like an iron man.

Well, nobody will buy him from us now, so he has 2 more years I guess to change his situation.

When Robben was on the pitch, though, he was devastatingly effective. So it was was worth enduring his injuries

Robben.

Positive outliers are always highlighted, while the bringing up the negative ones makes you a "hater." Truth is you should always assess a player on what his most likely path forward is, not some emotional rubbish intended to create a false sense of optimism. Particularly harsh analyses should also be rejected.

We won't get rid of the bloke, but it would be safe to make the assumption that he will never be available for selection. Board won't make the same mistake of counting on him again, especially in an election year. Two mega-star forwards will be brought in and Dembele will have is arse stapled to the bench during the time he is not in the operating room.

It's called being optimistic Tackle. You guys should try some of that instead of predicting doom and gloom all the time. Doesn't cost you anything.

He has time to fully recover until next season. If he gets injured early in next season, you could count him out. If he can start next season and gets 2-3 months of being injury free under his belt, the kid has a decent chance to turn it around.

Robben is still very effective as a career coach on Youtube channels.
