While I do want Dembele in the team, was I watching the same game?! I thought he was pretty shit for the most part, misplacing passes, bad touches and in general stupid decision making. But that's kind of what you get with him. I'm really confused at all the posts here saying he was great :\

He is the only player on this team besides Messi that can create opportunities for himself. This is very valuable in a team largely composed of passers and players that need the ball fed from others

yeah, confusing. I thought he was great in the first half. Much worse second half though. Of course he lost the ball 3 or 4 times but Messi and Griezmann did too.

His dribbling comes across so careless, yet so dangerous.

Still looks worried to sprint and get injured again. Also afraid To press aggressively against the ball.

These are things that come with time so let's hope he can leave these injuried behind him.

Well he had a deflected goal. :)) That's what counts for the ''connoisseurs'' around here.He started bright actually, but then he was classic Dembele. One good dribble, two bad passes.Every fucking time. This guy still plays football like he played it 3 years ago when he came to Barca.Brain of achicken.A headless one.

I am not denying this, this is why I want to see him in the team more often than not. I'm just really confused about the fact that people thought he was great today :S

Think he could thrive under Koeman actually. Especially if Messi/Fati occupy the middle.

But let's not forget the upcoming injury and Christmas PS Store sales.

I thought he was great, used his speed well, beat his marker on quite a few occasions, unlucky not to score a second. He's barely played any football in a year and to me this was a promising step in the right direction.

Dembouz is the type to dribble 3-4 players and cross the ball into an empty box. not sure if he'll ever grow from that but nobody has any ideas what he'll do next, heck i don't think he does half of the time

His passing to the central areas in transition has been on point, barely a misplaced one. Dunno what you're taling about. He had a couple of inaccurate low crosses but those have a low efficiency rate.

That's Dembele's greatest strength. How is a defender supposed to know what Dembele is trying to do, when Dembele doesn't know himself?

Exactly. A weak point of him was erratic inside passing from wide. Which are a nightmare since they gift great counters to our opponents. But in this particular game, he almost didn't make a single error in those sensible situations. He used his speed well, and beat his man regularly.

It doesn't mean much of course if it doesn't become a trend over the next 8-10 games at least.
