I honestly don't know how we missed his massive issue of technique when we decided to buy him. Everyone here called it (his issue with technique), we just classified it under "raw" and assumed he would improve.

Dembele can only thrive when there is loads of space, preferably on the counter - which happens once in a blue moon at Barca. On the other hand, Vinicius is starting to look like the real deal. His technique is miles ahead of Dembele.
Dembele only "thrives" in open space because athleticism is the only thing he has at the elite level. Even if he has space, he'll make a shitty decision and finish 9/10. It's not a Salah/Mane/Mbappe type of thriving in space, where they're actually useful and know how to convert chances into end product.
Dembele's an athlete that happens to play football. Someone else here said it (Total football, I think), dude should've picked 100m dash over football.
