The way he dribbles is like "The defenders can't know what I'm going to do if I don't know what I'm going to do". Looks like he's trying to tackle himself sometimes.

There are aesthetically pleasing wingers like Neymar, Sancho, Hazard, and on the opposite side of the spectrum you have players like Dembele. How could you possibly look at the way he plays and say

"we're buying him for 140m!"

Tried something, but in 4-3-3 he is clueless on the wing. He can just cross the ball inside without the endless tricks and the result still would be the same.

Better than trincao. Both Sunday league level.. Both are brought on for the million times when we are Loosing.. Both miserably fail every single time of those million times.. Both will continue to be summoned when we are Loosing.. Both will never deliver.

Probably barto himself from youtube videos

There are some wonderful highlights in those Dortmund videos, but even in them you could see he had issues with tight spaces. His handling of the ball always looked weird even in 10min highlight videos.

A full scout's research should've found a bunch of holes in his playing, and they probably did, but Barcelona most likely gambled and thought the "roughness" would disappear as he matured as a player. Rare, but considering his talent it makes sense.

As if any other Barca signings were scouted under a microscope.

He came in and either took 10 touches and 10 seconds to pass it back the same way as Roberto, try a cross blocked either by his press or the first cover, or lost the ball.

Pace merchant bruh, 3 years of speeding tickets on the field and zero goals in UCL in big moments, what a 100 mil signing

Maybe should have used microscope on the other Barca signings, cause none of them has lived up to their respective transfer fee either.

point is, our decisions were most likely not based on scouting and research; because the latter would've definitely advised against their signings, their poor fit and issues being so overwhelmingly obvious.

Bayern Level scouting would help. But not sure if any level of scouting would have predicted Coutinho's down fall, Dembele lengthy injuries.

what Barca really needs are rich owners with unlimited funding to absorb signing mistakes when they do happen.
