Those who know a bit of human history also know how easily the mob can be manipulated.
He is black, he is muslim - what else can the haters wish for?

What is truly sad is this very forum and how quickly and intensely the vultures came around their most recent victim, using language that would hardly be tolerated in most forums. If it were a normally and humanly moderated one, these disgusting verbal and written attacks should have never been tolerated.

Agreed.

Only reason why people can hate someone like Dembele is because he's black.

Whilst I agree with you about the verbal attacks, I can't agree with you about the politically correct cards you have tried to play in his defense. That was already used here to defend his performances last season. Why should he be exempt from criticism just because he fits an ethnic profile? That's not equality - that sounds like reverse racism to me.

I'm not defending him, because under normal circumstances there would be no reason to "defend" any Barca player.
Dembele played well, played badly, was injured - just like any other Barca players who were liked and criticized, but never to the extent to QUESTION his SANITY, or stamping him being "stupid" - just because some enjoy finding "causes" unrelated to the actual game.

I read the forum daily two years back, when Neymar had left, now I read posts when he might return, but never came across with this type of language, hatred and the possible lowest level of beating up and cewing on the throat of a player, hour by hour by hour, and he is still a Barca footballer, who dreamed about coming here.

If you consider a type of calm and emotionless rationalism as being a "reverse racism" then the entire scenario escapes your senses.

Dembele has been named many ugly things recently, in Neymar's thread BBZ names the entire Barca board as being CRIMINALS, very few people are actually talking about football but almost always take the easy opportunity to open their valves and spread hatred here.

It's very discouraging and dangerous tendency because there is a significant possibility that this season will be worse than people wish for, so what happens in the worst case?

Apart from the playing the race card bit, I actually agree. To clarify, just like he should not be attacked for his ethnicity nor should that exempt him from criticism that would be normal for another person to receive.

I've asked many times for players not to be insulted here, but unfortunately that is seen as being on a 'high horse' here, so it is a lost cause. Not sure if it just this forum or just football forums generally, but the treatment of some of our players, Rakitic, Pique, Busi, Alba, Messi, Suarez in particular on here and social media generally I find disgraceful. Not going to change though,so you either accept it or get off social media .

Hopefully his love translates to being professional and efficient now and not just loving being at Barca and getting all the attention in the World. This is a do or die season for him.

Well, i will wish that for you. As long as he stays far away from PSG, i'm happy.

Well, I know he won't. Was trying to be positive and look at the bright side of it, but it lasted like five minutes.

He just isn't as good as people think he is. His dribbling is erratic and only works when he has a lot of space to work with, his first touch is hit or miss and his passing can be shocking. His shooting is like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde too.

For a "generational talent" he sure as hell has a lot of flaws. He did great for Tuchel in Germany, but Thorgan Hazard has been awesome there too so

Hopefully he can contribute this season though before he inevitably is shipped off next summer.
