I hate the fact we are being bullied by a player that has done so little.

I hate the fact we are being bullied by a club that is on the verge of basically being finished.

Man, I miss the days when we were tapping up Verratti and Thiago Silva.

25m will go to Dembele and his agent. Only 25m will go to us. If he stays until end of 31st July, his release clause will be 100m so we will get 50m and his agent and him 50m. So if he’s smart he will wait until then and see if PSG value him.

I am not sure about whether there is still a 50% split between Dembele and the club if the release is not triggered before August 1st. I read some that said we might pocket the entire 100m, not sure it is true.

If there is still a 50% split after August 1st, then Dembele would want to wait in order to get more. Of course, he might want to get a better bonus from PSG for choosing to leave now to save them some money.

I don't buy how he wants a 3-way agreement though. He doesn't strike me as that type of person who cares about what we will get.

How do we feel about Luis Enrique's role in this? Shouldn't he show more class as well? But if he went to PSG of all teams I guess he's not concerned about such lofty concepts.

It's not in Barca's hands. If he wants to leave, he will. As fast as rumours are coming out, I expect him to leave. Too much is speaking for it: he'll receive half of the fee, PSG's salary offer will be much higher than what he is earning currently, he is French, his buddy Mbappe is playing there and PSG will do everything to make him happy and then there is Dembele's agent who'll heavily will advise him to make the move.
If it was in my hands, I would keep him for two reasons. 1. Can't get a proper replacement. Let's be real, in club's current situation Raphinha is the best replacement Barca can get.
2. I fucking hate PSG and Dembele would be the third player after Neymar and Messi PSG "steals" from Barca. They still won't win shit in CL, but Barca is literally the only top club they can do this to. No way PSG would get a top player from Madrid or Bayern that they don't want to get rid off. That's how "small" Barca has become in recent history.

Dembélé loves Xavi, but he knows that some people at the club want to sell him.
@martinezferran

FC Barcelona are ready to sell Ousmane Dembélé and start talks with PSG from August 1! However, two conditions must be met: 1) Dembélé must ask to leave. 2) PSG must not activate the €50M release clause.

@martinezferran

Dembélé & his entourage are frustrated with Deco — they don't trust him, especially because he was the agent of Raphinha, who was a direct competition. That's one of the reasons why he wants to join PSG.
@martinezferran

So, it's starting to make more sense who from the board wants him gone.
That's why the media outlet close to the board was activated tonight to put pressure on the player's camp.
And the pressure has a specific goal: make PSG pay much more than the release clause

None of the more credible Catalan sources reported such. By the way @ManagingBarca is quite idiotic, often reporting some fringe stuff that few believe in. The more credible sources reported that Xavi and Alemany both told him that he is not for sale. And Xavi is supposed to have another meeting with Dembele today to convince him to stay.

It just doesn't make sense that we want to sell him. If we did, why did we try so hard to renew him last summer? We purposedly inserted an idiotic clause so that we hope someone will trigger it? Or we renewed him just to sell him for some money? He is clearly a starter, Laporta and Xavi always pampered him with remarks like "the best player in the world" stuff. Sporting-wise there is a clear need for him. Raphinha and Ferran are all behind him.

No bad feelings against him. He's employed by PSG and wants best players he can get for his team. Pep would do the same.

also, as Luft said that ManagingBarca account is known for bad translations and making things up.

It is his loss if he decides to leave and join PSG of all teams.

At the same time you have to give kudos to the idiots at the club who agreed to this idiotic 50m release clause, half of which goes to the club. Has this ever happened before??
Not really his loss if we're still offering him a liw salary like 7m or so cause it's business at the end. So offering him a poor salary only means that we're not really interested in keeping him, finally it looks like its up to Dembele to either make a logical or emotional decision

He doesn’t deserve a better salary. And we better not compete with PSGs terms.

We placed that clause cause Dembele was a free agent and renewed at a lower salary without taking any bonus. Doesn't have anything to do with idiotic clause, Dembele just had the upper hand then as he was a free agent

Who said we're offering him 7m lol. He's on a higher salary than that already.
Some of you will make up a hundred excuses for him.
