Paco Alcácer

30m can be considered a bargain last summer, but with him shining with Dortmund we could get more from them if we did not have the fee agreed during the loan
Anyway I am happy for him as he is a professional player, even when he was in Barca he was doing well when subbed from the bench

Amazing how much he scores when subbed in. Was following on Livescore and saw 0-0 and was almost expecting him to be subbed in and score.

Reckon he should be the kickstarter for the list of players Barca has "ruined" akin to the garbage spouting around Madrid's transfers circa 2006-2010. Lol.

Dembele soon to be #2. Semedo #3. Could even argue this was going on since Gomes

All jokes aside, Paco better deliver. Spain national team will come his way begging for forgiveness and if he stays bang average, but keeps playing for Enrique they'll turn on him very quick.

He's actually the perfect type of striker for Spain. Someone that doesn't need a million chances to score like Morata or Rodrigo, or someone that simply doesn't fit in too well like Diego Costa.

If Lucho want to play a more direct style having a poacher like Paco would be a nice player for Spain.

He's one of the most hard working strikers I've seen lately. Makes clever runs all the time. It helps that he plays for a team that is quick and energetic.

Turns out it was fine to give him a try here, although he didn't convince the coaches somehow (even with Suarez in horrible form at times). Quite amazing form right now.

Just image if he went straight to Dortmund from Valencia - everyone would be furious we didn't get him and shit up and down our board for not knowing quality in our own backyard.
If other clubs get the impression that our benchplayers can be gold, we can sell players like Paco, Denis and Rafinha for more profit in the future, that would be great.

Rafinha did well for Inter and in a normal situation he probably would have been sold for 35m.

Denis I believe will be difficult to flog off for a significant amount, but perhaps Sarri still got a hard on for him and want to make him his new Callejon.

Poachers are still streaky. Villa did a lot of good things from the sides. Raul for example did not. It's all good having a gift, which takes you a long way, but today's fanbase has this needless attitude of making players as 'all around' as it is possible. I don't think Spanish will forgive him if he stays streaky. Unless they have a winger each side or somebody more direct than Isco behind him to distract from ups and downs in form, they will use it against him.

It all depends on their setup. If they keep trying to play the way they did in 2010 then they can play whichever player they want, it just won't work.

Plays midweek in the starting lineup, he doesn't score, Dortmund don't score, they don't win. He's back to his usual 'super sub status' at the weekend, he scores again, they win again. Imagine if EV figured out what Favre did. :p
