Paco Alcácer

Paco just needs one goal, and he'll settle in. He's been massively unlucky and now he's anxious and making it harder for himself. On limited minutes and he could have several goals already with all the posts, near misses and inch-clearances.

This has happened to strikers more expensive and more talented than him and they've gotten through it. He will too.

He's a skilled area forward and he'll be valuable for the team.

Exactly!

Way too much hate for him here, his misses were so unlucky. Could have easily had a hat trick then he would have been "great signing!". The point is he was in the right place at the right time to take those shots which in most games would have been goals.

a hat trick against Deportivo doesnt mean shit especially when the game is already 4-0. The entire team tried to set him up for a goal for 30 mins and he still couldnt score.

So Sandro is better also? Ok I give up, it's pointless...

Were you even a watching the games at that point? Both Sandro and Munir would run to our own box to defend and both players were MUCH more present than Paco is now.

You're not even trying to refute anything, you're just trying to somehow imply I'm wrong.

Why are you underrating Sandro? He is doing pretty well in Malaga and has already scored 2 or 3 goals for them. Hes also 3 years younger than Paco so he could very well become a way better player than him if he isnt already

He was bad, not unlucky

I think you're being too harsh towards Paco mate.

He makes great movement and the timing isn't bad at all.

The only missing part from him is to score goals, which he probably will do I think.

Even Suárez needed some time to getting started and made plenty of unlucky misses as well during his first months for us.

I think we at least should judge Paco when the season ends, not after sme few games.

Suarez missing is part of the way he plays. Even during his hot streak of goals he missed an open net against Real Madrid. Even today he missed an open net with a header. The day Paco scores a hat trick in the same game as missing these sitters is the day these sitters stop meaning something.

Not his fault he wasn't playing from the start, he came on for 45 mins and was inches away from scoring 3/4 goals. So if he scores those (which he would 9/10 times) then what do you think of him?

if he had started in place of rafinha(who scored 2 goals btw) we probably wouldnt have scored at all in the first half. Since Paco isnt a winger he would've most likely been even shittier than he was today (if thats even possible) and we would have had to rely on lucho subbing messi in for him to score the winning goal.

Calm down guys. He is just anxious. He will deliver once he scores his first goal. Alexis had the same problem in 12/13 first half of the season.

I am not trying to imply anything. I am just saying that you can not judge a player after 1,5 month. And bare in mind he was not with us during preseason.

Regarding Sandro and Munir, they were playing mostly on WINGS! Paco is not a winger he is a pure 9 he can not run back every single time it is not the way no.9 plays. Lucho wanted a true 9 since he has Rafinha, Arda and Denis for wing position.

Also bare in mind that Munir and Sandro were here for many years and Munir started to improve just lately.

Paco is not Suarez but he started playing for spanish national team when he was 21 years old and I suppose Del Bosque knows a thing or two about football don't you agree?

Listen, to be honest I was rooting we buy Gameiro since he would have instant impact but i'll try to support Paco at least for some time. If he flops ok but give him a proper chance to prove you right or wrong.
