Last year I was thinking Arda is the worst transfer of our history but this guy shows up quickly.

I would still say Arda is our worst transfer. Money was more than Paco - he is older etc.. but I agree Paco looked lost.

We always buy garbage every year that we loan out until their contract expires (while paying their wages). Its a never ending cycle. As soon as the contracts of Song, Hleb, Vermaelen, Vidal, Keirrison etc are up, more garbage is incoming, ready to be loaned out again.

I hated his performance, but this "totally on him" is pure overreaction.

He was not the one responsible for Kameni defending everything, even with one man behind.

Also, he was not the one refusing us a clear penalty and invalidating a perfectly legal goal.

He was shit, for sure. But that's not why we lost points.

People here needs to calm down when these shit happen.

The whole game we needed to score, which is the main job of a CF and he wasn't even able to get into a decent position, did he even get a shot on target? Even when Suárez plays badly, he has hustle, movement, willingness to help others in attack and once in a while manages to create something out of nothing, but this guy Paco is like he isn't even there...

Most of the team played badly, but Paco didn't even play, he was giving a golden opportunity and didn't show up, quite literally; he couldn't handle the responsibility and disappointed the team, the club and the fans, I stick by my words, this is on him... The ref and Kameni had nothing to do with how bad he was, those are just excuses...

The back up forward strategy should have just been to sub on another CB and move Pique up front.

This guy is right on track to become Vidal 2.0

At least with Munir we could bash him for missing chances or not making a pass he should have. With this guy he's not even there.

If the manager had the balls to take him off + let pique and gomes roam upfront + let denis control midfield there is a chance we would have won.. but the manager is trying to make a point.. that those shitty transfers are useful. We are simply loosing points because arda and alkacer are not good enough and they start regardless

Holy shit, that mobility!

News reports are saying he didn't get a touch of the ball between the 10th and 41st minute!

I didn't say Kameni or the ref has something to do with him being bad and I never made any excuse for his horrible performance, but they obviously have something to do with us losing point.

More than Paco being invisible, actually.

That's why "totally on him" is pure overreaction.

People on this forum need to learn how to separate things.

I think he would have scored if Piqué had let him convert a beautiful pass. Piqué headed the ball - should have let it go to Paco who was behind. Maybe Paco is not assertive enough to call off Piqué.

I think people here are being very harsh towards Paco, although I agree that he wasn't brilliant today.

The Spaniard lacks chemistry with the team & hasn't had enough service.
