Paul Pogba

His age should definitely be taken into consideration. From what I have seen I think he's the real deal too and I don't see any reason why people think he wouldn't fit into Barca's system.

You would probably say any good player would fit into our system. That midtable club mentality runs deep.

Sure, Iniesta is aging, but is still world class and now we have to be patient since we just bought Arda, Rafinha is returning, Roberto is approaching world class levels and Rakitic now can finally get some rest with more squad depth and return to his absolute best.

We cant get too rash here. Buying Pogba just seems to be about getting another superstar for marketing and brand value and superstars have to be midfielders or forwards and our superstar quota up front is full so Pogba is targeted.

As much as I don't want us to get Pogba (price tag + wages + agent + diva character = nono for me), it's no abomination to say that Rafi and Denis are amateurs compared to him, he's obviously in the world class block, the other 2 not so much even though they're good.

Calling Rafinha in particular an amateur is fucking atrocious. His season at Celta was stellar, and even though he's not been as good for us yet, he clearly shows signs of being the real deal - especially this season prior to his injury.

As good as Pogba? Obviously not. But calling him an amateur is not just hyperbole, it's also plain stupid.

Rafinha and Suarez are amateurs compared to Pogba?

Someone is seriously buying his agent's hype. He isn't so much better that we have to break the bank to sign a player who doesn't even fit our system.

Right, it must be his agent is hyping him. Of course! His qualities and performances have absolutely nothing to do with it at all :) Not at all.

And yes they are amateurs compared to Pogba. Rafinha had a pretty good spell at Celta. What else? Denis Suarez was struggling at Sevilla but is doing good at Villarreal nowadays. While Rafinha and Suarez have been playing at lesser sides, Pogba has been one of Juventus best and most important players for quite a while. Hes played a huge part in reaching the CL final and the titles they've won. Pretty much all big clubs in europe are after him. Guess Mino Raiola must have manipulated them and their coaching staff too into thinking that Pogba actually is good. Did he pour something in their drinks? Why aren't they chasing Rafinha and Suarez instead? And oh, Pogba is younger than both of them.

-------

And lol at the ones not wanting him at Barcelona because they see him as a diva. Did you think the same of Neymar? Because he was labeled a diva and a diver back then. And what about Suarez? You must be disgusted to have him in the team. I mean, after all, hes been biting players, hes been suspended because of racism, he used his hands on purpose to save a goal against Ghana at the WC and so on.
Or does this logic apply to some players only? Dat hypocrisy.

You clearly haven't followed Barca closely when you put Suarez and Pogba in same context.
Won't even bother comment on "racism" claim.

I mentioned Suarez because another user mentioned Suarez as one of the reasons not to sign Pogba.

Oh yeah? How cute. You dont have to. But how about everything else he has done? In case you happened to miss everything i wrote but the racist accusations or you didnt comment it on purpose because of your double standards, ill copy and paste it for you:

What exactly does the "and so on" entail?
Remember Messi against Espanyol of handful or two years ago scoring deliberately with the hand? I guess you don't.

The biting, while obviously despicable, was more absurd than anything. He's clearly working on it, though.
In the end, he's not really that much worse than the average top player out there, unless of course that "and so on" part reveals something we don't know?

Well these are minor incidents compared to the others. He punched a Chilean player in the face. Then theres a incident where he got suspended because of a brawl with his own teammate LOL. Might be something more that ive forgotten.

Messi? Well you dont see me complain about that kind of behaviour, do you? Im just pointing out all these incidents because of some users double standards and hypocrisy. they dont want Pogba because they see him as a diva, but i dont see them complain about having Suarez in the team when he has done much worse things than just being a diva.

Thing is, there's a huge difference in being a diva who could disrupt team chemistry and a loose cannon like Suarez, who's very down to earth and apparently very well liked by his team mates.

Now, I'm not saying that Pogba actually is a diva, because I don't know him that we'll. But I can relate to those who don't want him because of this issue.
It's the sheer monetary issue that is off putting for me in regards to a potential Pogba transfer.

I partly agree. He has behaved well since he came to Barcelona apart from 1-2-3 rare incidents maybe. But one still cant just ignore what he repeatedly has done before. It may very well happen again, especially if he happens to underperform in some important games and someone provokes him.

Well Pogba seems to be liked by his teammates too. I dont see any players or coaches complaining. Seems to be a nice and humble kid taking his mom with him to the Ballon D'or gala. And he has not been involved in lots of controversies... yet atleast while Suarez has them piled up.

Pogba has way more experience -at a much higher level than Neymar had, when he transfered. I don't find his demands unfair to be honest

Mino Raoila is that you?

Pogba has played well after a bad start to the season and along with that, he disappeared from this thread :troll:
