I guess after today's game Real Madrid is back in the race to get him? ;)

Since we apparently won't get him, him going to Manchester United is much better than him going to Real Madrid.

I approve this deal.

Would be better if he stayed at Juventus. He showed today and the last match that it's not all about physicality about him. His positional awareness and intelligence is top notch too playing in the deep-lying midfield role he has. Also that he's not one who'll do everything for the limelight, pretty much doing his job behind the likes of Payet, Griezmann and even Giroud up forward and not complaining.

I hope he can keep developing this aspect of his game too. Would make him a better player.

Of course. But if he were to move, between Real Madrid and Manchester United the latter is a much better option as far as we are concerned.

The best option for Barcelona would be him staying at Juventus, effectively ruling Real Madrid out. I see no reason for him to go to Man Utd. His agent, The Fat Rat supposedly want it, but that's likely because of a big commission Man Utd promised him.

Career-wise, Man Utd doesn't make any sense. Juventus are serious this Summer and building a team that will elevate them to one of the big favorites for the CL.

We might not even want to sign him anyway. This year or next. But if he's serious about actually becoming a complete midfielder, then his best bet is staying at least one more year at Juventus.

So what? He and raiola can ask for anything they want. That has little to do with what his abilities, and more with the crazy players market right now. Also a lot to do with his marketing, and his agent.

But to come back to the original point, you were assessing his value from a few games from this euro. That would be valid to any player. You can't just change the variables as you please, just to fit your agenda.

fit my agenda? Go back to my earlier posts before EURO tourny, I'm the one who is calling to sign him. No agenda here buddy, I still want Barca to sign Pogba but he is not worth more than 80m to me. But the fact is a tournament like WC or EURO can increase or decrease the value of a player. A player like James, his value increased after the WC, and for Pogba who had few bad games and few above average games but nothing exceptional, his value should decrease. This is how the market is, variables changes all the time.

Going to ManU this year is dumb, they're not even in CL.
Juventus are a good team and serious contender for CL, if Real Madrid aren't in it for him (That's surprising to me... I think he's the kind of transfer Perez would be all over?) then he should stay in Juve imo. Huge downgrade to go to ManU, just because they're prepared to fork out huge sums for him.

For 100m, yeah, I would look for another player if I was Bartomeu.

The only player in the world I wouldn't mind buying for 100m would be Messi and that we don't have to worry about :salute:

I think it's clear that he prefers La Liga and as long as Juventus want €100m, Madrid si the only option for him in Spain while United, City or PSG remain side options.

Not sure about that. Seems like we're looking for other options like André Gomes.

I thought you didn't want him?

I do want him, but only when he's needed, and I don't feel like he is right now :) Maybe next year, depending on Iniesta and Rakitic, and how Roberto, Rafinha and Denis develop.

I have resigned to the fact that we'll have the same midfield next season for the 3rd year in a row. A bit depressing considering Iniesta is out of breath after 8 minutes and Rakitic had a below-average season.
