y'know, I'll get some shit for this but if he can come in with the right attitude aka the opposite of Arda and he works his ass off for us i think he might suprise some people. now by no means am i defending this transfer its fucking rotten and that video is of the Chinese league AND we should be going for Seri etc etc but im interested to see how a player like him will work in our midfield.

Yeah he's a Box to Box Midfielder.

He would work in a simplified role like in Brazil where he can work off the ball and recover and make runs into the box. But that's pretty much it. problem is we need players who are strong on the ball that not only can control the tempo but create chances as well.

He's been playing quite well for Brazil for the last year or so. I flat guarantee that he will shoot better than Busquets.

We'll have to see how he does. At a minimum, it is reasonable to expect him to improve the play when Busquets is not on the field. Barca definitely needed to move up from Gomes.

My expectations are so low for him.

If he comes and somehow a reasonable impact I might not be as harsh on him. But I would still be mad as hell we spent over 40 million euros when at best he would be worth 15-20 million.
