If he'll continue like this I'm affraid PSG will triger his buy out clause next summer. :( When we signed him I've said we should set his clause at 223M. :p

No he didnt. Not yet. Far too early to say that. Maybe he will have revived it after a season. With us. Not in china.

We gave him a chance to revive his career. So far, he's taking it.

not easy to admit that you were wrong.

Paulinho is just great. You think that it's normal to pay 40mi to revive someone's career? If anything, Paulinho is reviving Barca's hopes this season.

Reviving Barca's hopes?

So far so good, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. There's an entire season to play and I want him to make an impact in the CL, especially against very compact teams.

I look forward to seeing him in every game, combination of starting and subbing. Coming off the bench, he is so radically different from all the other midfielders, there is no way the opponents can be ready.

The big competition for playing time among the swarm of midfielders is paying dividends. Paulinho and Denis Suarez must play regularly, even if a lot of that time is at non-midfield positions.

All it will take is one good/great game vs Atletico to see the end of Rakitic

And I'm sure Paulinho will be given a shot against the big teams considering 30 mil Gomes started vs Real, City, PSG

Way to early.
We have had an easy schedule so far.
A central midfielder, he is not, and that is what we shoulda used those 40m for.

Way too early, but what he's doing is good so far.

I was one of the main haters, but anyone has to admit he does good.

He has more impact than I anticipated.

So far it isn't the same Paulinho we knew when he was a Spur.

Tbf, Paulinho at Spurs was mostly under AVB who himself failed tremendously as a manager in EPL. Anyways, it's pretty clear to see the guy is motivated and still worked very hard in China. He could have easily gone the other route like Tevez and do nothing and become fat and lazy.

The Chinese Dragon has been great so far.

The only positive contribution Paulinho made for Tottenham happened during the 1st half against Stoke (before being injured by Charlie Adams), but that's pretty much it to be honest. Otherwise, the Brazilian played under 3 different coaches and was still shit for Tottenham.

Having said that, I'm really happy to see Paulinho actually doing well for us so far.
