No one is saying it's not stupid deal and head scratching, But that doesn't make some random text on twitter talking about conspiracy involving our board and off-shore companies in china, automatically true, I think this is common sense.
Until the information on that twitter post are confirmed to be true, Preferably by a real journalist, It'll still remain to be just an unconfirmed nonsense on the internet, And it is the internet we're talking about.

Well, explain this transfer then!
This "conspiracy theory" is the only logical explanation out there for this horrible transfer at the moment.

Josep Maria Bartomeu i Floreta is Partner and CEO of the company ADELTE, which specializes in designing, manufacturing and building of global services in airports, sea ports, and also ground installations.

Currently they are expanding in Asia with already active projects in Taipei, Vietnam, and Hong Kong.

Evergrande Group on the other side, have this gigantic project called Ocean Flower Island and Guangzhou is one of the largest ports in Asia. Ocean Flower Island is an artificial archipelago targeted to luxury seeking tourists.

From what people are gathering at the moment, ACS (Florentino Perez's construction company) was also on public bidding for the project but finally it will be adjudicated to associates to ADELTE or (more likely) associates.
Oh, sounds like money laundering?

We don't have non-eu players, we don't have roster spot, we have crowded midfield. And we are going for this guy. I mean ignoring he isn't good enough, we will just need to many changes for the deal to happen.
1-Have we conceded that Coutinho isn't coming? so that we are keeping him?
2-If we aren't bringing Coutinho, it means Marlon is moving out, which means we need a European CB, Inigo?
3-Does this mean we are moving some of our midfielders? Rafinha & Gomes out? One of Roberto or Rakitic going in Coutinho deal?

I just don't get it

I didn't say that it's necessarily true, but it's more logical than Paulinho being a good enough player to play for Barca.

And above all of that we have spent last 7 days hardly bidding for Coutinho and Dembele (with both players helping us) and now when there is actually a chance for signing them we spend 40 mil on this garbage player. Makes ZERO fucking sense. ZERO!

And I secirely doubt we will sell Gomes. Also if we get rid of Roberto or Rakitic to create space for Paulinho someone should beat up all board memebers.

And in the end there is a problem with Marlon and the need for another CB! Something is terribly wrong here! Maybe someone is creating false rumors againg!?

I don't mind Paulinho. He offers insane long-shots and can run around and press a lot.

Would work great in a 4-2-3-1; doing the dirty work for Busquets.

I mean he was a starting midfielder for brazil in the world cup qualifiers, and they won all their games

At this moment it's all too new and there's still not much information about it but things stand like this for now:

Josep Maria Bartomeu i Floreta is Partner and CEO of the company ADELTE, which specializes in designing, manufacturing and building of global services in airports, sea ports, and also ground installations.

Currently they are expanding in Asia with already active projects in Taipei, Vietnam, and Hong Kong.
