Paulo Dybala

Zinchenko is a good player, but it's a tough one to evaluate without knowing how Arteta plans to use him. They have a better LB than him albeit an injury prone one. Will he be their AM? CM? Not sure you can challenge for trophies with him as your starting AM/CM.

City got a good deal here IMO.

City are doing very well considering the short contracts remaining of their sales.

I would prefer someone else to Zinchenko, but there is no denying (imo) that he would he very good at LB for the way Xavi setup last season. While also giving reliable depth in midfield. Though nothing Kessie can't provide unless Zinny be DMC relief.

A massive admirer of his impeccable talent. One of the most talented players itw. I hope he kills it in Rome.

A big fish in a small pond setting playing in his preferred position will suit him brilliantly. Mourinho is known to get the best out of his forwards and even improve them. Can't wait to watch him.

Let down by injuries and dirty National Team politics.

Daje!

Dybala, Coutinho, James Rodriguez and Isco have had pretty interesting careers. All 4 reached the highest level in the game but pretty much found their roles redundant at elite clubs or lost their physical attributes/fitness and had a bad patch before hitting the age of 30.

At one point in time, these players could have played for any club. Pretty weird.

All quintessential "luxury" players who had insane technical ability but lacked the pace or explosiveness to play as wing forwards and the industriousness to play as proper mids in a 3 man midfield. Their disappointing careers are the by-products of pressing Football. 20 years back these guys would have been club legends. Unfortunately they don't fit into of these modern Football boxes and are somewhat stuck in between.

Managers struggle to fit these players in. In this era, with that skill set these people have to try and be central mids otherwise their options and chances are fucked.

Absolute travesty that the game has basically lost such an artistic and pleasing role/position amidst all the mechanical pressing mania.

Over to Jose, hopefully he can revive Dybala.

Lol, ironic coming from you. Managers like Klopp were responsible for the destruction of these kind of players.

Klopp can get the best out of these kinda players too. Even with his iconic pressing system. Lots of managers press for the sake of pressing without even knowing how tactical and technical it is.

Coutinho literally had his best days under Klopp lol.

And Liverpool and Klopp had their best days after getting rid of Coutinho. There is a reason Klopp didn't look for a direct replacement for him.

Exactly. I was going to say that. If Klopp was in love with that type of player he would have gone for Dybala, Felix,Griezmann or even resigned Coutinho.

Even if he doesn't love these players he knows how to get the best out of them.

The results obviously got better after selling him. The two big pieces missing from our team was a goalkeeper and leader of defense. We needed to spend a lot on these 2 expensive signings and could only afford them by selling Coutinho for an insane amount.

BTW we/Klopp really tried and pushed for Fekir......

Would exclude Griezmann, guy was very good in 2016 overall, especially in EURO16 and Ucl against Bayern. DO you remember the icecold shot against Neuer? Worldclass. Scored two nice goals to win the el final for Atletico and was average/good in WC18. Barca was stupid to buy him after his prime for 120! mio.
