Well, Spain started their dominance in the summer 2008 actually.

They weren't nearly as dominant in Euro08. Tiki-taka wasn't there yet. They played good football, but it's clear that in 2010-12 VdB copy pasted Barca's style entirely. This is not to say that '08 side was of lesser quality.
