How do they operate then @ the first part of your of your post.

When pep went out & signed a bunch of defensive players fif he & his team set out to strengthen the forward line & just happen to sign 2 full backs?.

When Jose signed Lukaku, did he really want a right winger, & wasn't specifically planning to get a CF.

When we signed semedo did we really actually want to sign a goalkeeper, we didn't set out to strengthen that specific position?.

I'm just wondering.

Keep wondering then as you are not even remotely close to the point made with those examples.

Thought so..., Because you did say he is nieve if he thinks clubs go into the summer having a position they want to strengthen & go about strengthening it.

So I'm just trying to figure out what could be meant by that you know.

But you are the guy with the inside connections, so you would know how it really goes down.

So when I see Man U having a glaring need for a young rb, & goes out to strengthen that position I will know they were nieve to even think about that & what they really should have done having identified the needs of there squad is go out & sign a GK

That's you very much for clearing that up.

You are naive if you think the way teams operate is that they have one position they want to strengthen each summer and only look at targets for that.

Barca liked Coutinho as seen him as Iniesta replacement and can play in forward line.

Barca liked Veratti as also wanted to strengthen the CM options.

When it became clear early in summer that Coutinho would be almost impossible to get they moved for Veratti. When it became clear Veratti was staying and Neymar left Coutinho jumped right back to top of agenda again as now needed not only more in midfield but cover for Neymar.

That is what happened last summer not some random jumping back and forth.

This summer Griezmann is a opportunity at a great price and now Thiago may also be in area Barca still want to strengthen.

You just dont have much clue and go over the top as usual.

It has nothing to do with 'publicity' and that from you who was moaning about them not taking Thiago back and now think they might you flip it and find another reason to moan.

Standard.

While what you say is true, Griezmann is a market opportunity as well as a fantastic player, Eriksen was for the longest time considered the alternative until Thiago recently became available.

Neither have anything in common...

If your vision is 4-3-3 then your prime targets would be midfielders. If it is 4-2-3-1 then it would be an additional forward... Where is the plan? It seems that the plan is sign players first before deciding direction instead defining your direction and signing players that will take it forward.

Regarding last year, it's all good and well you bring up Verratti and Coutinho but what about the Seri mess, the Paulinho signing from left field, chasing Di Maria to the last second... This is excluding the lack of outgoing players which is as much of a problem. Maybe even more because other clubs are aware of our need to sell and WILL low ball or only request loans. The situation is such that you sell at reduced value or refuse and continue with an oversized squad just leeching on the tit of high wages. The club doesn't win.

Suarez should be offloaded now while he still has a little to offer otherwise we sit with another leech until at least 2021.

I know this is not the point, but he did want a winger. Was after Perisić for super long time. Now they're stuck with someone who isn't a winger and wants double the money. Lol United.

The problem really wasn’t Fernandez. The problem is this cancer called Segura...

Hopefully Jordi Cruyff is the one who replaces Segura because as far as I know he is the only one who requested autonomy. Cruyff overseeing Abidal would be ideal as far as I’m concerned because he won’t be just another yes man.
