To some extent, he couldn't play longrange passes and passes to different players 2 years ago when every pass needed to go to Messi.

If another player is in a better position, forget it.
You have to pass to Messi who dropped to a CM position and now will try to dribble past three players through a crowded middle.

He had a good game. He's always seemed like a mentally weak player to me. He usually starts well and then loses confidence after a few bad games. Hopefully the loan to Bayern has also made him mentally stronger.

He plays like a player who was just promoted from the b team not a 160m superstar. He still cannot impose himself in the game, he should be clearly the second best player in the team, but he is not. People are still treating him like a child, congratulating him for doing basic things like running into acres of space and completing a wide open pass.

We should forget about his price. He'll always be a flop considering what we've paid for him. What we should be focused on now is him actually being useful and help the team to win (which he did yesterday) and at the same time also build up his value so we can sell him next year which for now I still think is what we should do.

Unless he'll turn out to be a consistent top 3 player (in a good, solid overall team not being one of the least worst players in a bad team) and Messi will leave next year so we could actually use Coutinho for another season to let Pedri grow a bit more before he can hopefully take over his spot.

next we have celta away and sevilla at home. we'll see how this supposed superstar will perform.
