Philippe Coutinho

He started the season well at Bayern Munich and then went quiet for most of his time there. I seem to remember when we first signed him that he started well for us and then went quiet by the 2nd of half his first season. Started this season well and now has gone off the boil. Starting to see a pattern here.

My flatmate is a Bayern fan, I watched many of their games. He was pretty shit at the start too. First he couldn't score and Lewandowski gifted him a penalty (which ironically cost Lewandowski the Golden Boot), and after that he scored his occasional long shot goal, but was very poor in actual play.

Toward the end he became a substitute at best.

I laugh when he have ball on the left wing, this guy can't dribble one on one situation even if his life depends on it.

Play him in CAM position or not play him at all.

Play him as a #10 behind the striker or don't play him at all.

It's a pity all of the real wingers are injured.

He can't beat players off the dribble, I'd be surprised if he even hits the target half the time from cetrally (as opposed as to his preferred left of cenre position), and as a playmaker, who is going to run either side of him, lol, like Messi or Griezmann, or Trincao, Martin might but really. He's a luxury player at the top level, a top level that no longer accommodates luxury players. He's a sub at best, however with Dembele's injury I suspect he'll get a few more starts in teh weeks ahead. Really needs to up his game though.

Bayern steroids must be wearing off
People act, like Coutinho was a great player for Bayern..he was not.

He was shit most of the times, but good enough being an option from the bench offering some possession/ball keeping abilities..not more and not less.

Always wanted to play for the gallery and proving his worth, instead of playing it simple with some brain.

Also Koeman is obviously no Flick, who is a master when it comes to having a great relationship with his players.
