Philippe Coutinho

Barcelona are considering selling Coutinho in January. The club can't afford his wages, for sitting on the bench. Pedri has overtaken him. [ara via sport]

Who could bite? Arsenal makes a lot of sense.

PSG lacks quite a bit creativity in midfield too, but I don't think we want to see Coutinho crushing us again.

I don't think it's a matter of whether the club wants to sell him or not. But rather if there actually is a buyer.

The only reason he's at the club is because nobody else wants him for more than peanuts.

I don't think anyone is in the position to sell him or want to authorise it until a president is on board, plus I dont see anyone being interested in a permanent deal for him at the moment.

Only way to get rid of his wages is loaning him out.

He has still a high book value and selling him for less than that means a loss in the balance. I highly doubt the club can afford that in the current financial state.

what is his role ?

he does nothing besides getting the ball and passing it 1 second later .

he can't dribble.

he doesn't make through passes.

he's predictable in his shooting.

he is useless.

Braithwaite is more impressive than him on his side of the field and that says all about this football player.

Not sure what happened to him again. The start of the season he looked good and now invisible.

He seems to be very streaky and then loses his confidence..

He's very much involved and far from invisible. But he doesn't posess the right type of creativity to break through this Valencia wall.

Wasn't even 5 games in a row. Not one game was a world class performance. The whole "Bayern Coutinho" is such a weird circlejerk, especially when he was literally benched by Perisic and Muller and was considered a surplus to the team.

Seems like the worst transfer from our three funny transfers of him, Griezmann and Dembouz. Hopefully we learn not to sign expensive players again (always too big a risk, eg Havertz, hazard, Pogba)
