Laporta will quickly convince me that he just a more convincing Barto if we go for Auba. He is a declining 32 year old on massive wages, have we learnt anything yet??
Additionally the article mentions that it is a 'part exchange' and bizarrely suggests we tried to sign Tammy Abraham from Chelsea, who just moved for ?34m to Roma... We used all our 'spare' income 1:4 (Firpo, Matheus, Trincao, Jean-Clair) on the registration of Depay and Garcia, and will have to use some for Aguero soon, so we have no money to add a player on big wages to our books. Giving Coutinho as a swap still doesn't get us under the salary cap so we would have to use 1:4 to complete this signing, rendering it pretty impossible (Auba is on 250k wages and would demand at least like 100k??)
