He was on 350K or so a week IF he met all goals/appearance bonuses.

Base was nearer 250K and that is what he would have been on as was not going to play much.

Would have been on around 19m or so in next year and a half... Say 10m after tax.

If he gets 2m from Barca this season then say 8m next season then he would be getting around 5.5m in that time after tax.

In reality he is giving up closer to 5m in his pocket with this move.

On top of that could keep his stock higher for a decent contract at 34 in some semi retired country than would if hadnt played for a year and a half if stays that long.

In summer probably be linked to Dortmund as part of any deal for Haaland if does decent.
