Positive Thinking Cules

Tito starts with 10 home-growns and without Messi at the ground where we lost last season.

Need more reasons to feel optimistic?

Phew! This last month or so has been anything but smooth sailing - especially on these forums.
We've had Osasuna, Getafe and Sevilla away, and just survived the first LL clásico of the season with a defense that wasn't really a defense at all, and still we lead the league with 8 points (no, I'm not including Atletico and Malaga, as they'll hit rough patches sooner or later). The run-up untill x-mas is pretty easy in terms of oppositions, and we should easily cope with Pique coming back soon hopefully. After that Puyol will most likely be back too, and our defense will yet again be a familiar entity. CL progression will be secured shortly, and we should be able to fend off any Madrid based aggression on our healthy La Liga lead for a good while.

Our midfield is still easily the best in the world, and finally it seems like we have an alternative in Fab who's been getting much better lately. And he scores again! Our Attack is still Messi, who's being... well, Messi. Pedro is doing good, even though he could score a bit more often, and Alexis has been brilliant the last 3 games, and should only get better from now on. Villa is still a wildcard, but it's good to have him whatever happens with him during the next couple of months.

In truth we're really not that bad off, as many in here will have us believe.

You put things in a nice perspective.
We'll get some of our injured players back after internationals and we do seem to have easy schedule until the winter break as all of our hard visits come in spring (Valencia, Madrid, Bilbao, Atletico).

I am happy as long as we're clear of another team at the end of game 38. Don't jinx it, there is a long way to go...
