Positive Thinking Cules

I walk the line
first I wanted to remind us all that we have already won 3 trophies this season. League depends on a Levante who is going to face our bitter rival at home. we gotta trust our blaugrana brothers, right? :D

We may have got very very slim chance for the league now, (nearly non existent) but we got to find out the gem in Tello, his amazing speed and eye for goal. we found out cuenca and his nice technique and beautiful dribbling. Thiago is getting more and more experienced,Puyol is having a fine injury free (knock on wood) season and may this last so many more years. even if we lose the league we can hope that a now more experienced Pep will stay with us and this joyful experience can last longer.

with each past day Villa and Abi are closer to full recovery. their spirits are great. Cesc and Alexis are little by little getting gelled in the team. we have got Iniesta back and can see the don's magic once again. Busi will have recovered to a very good extent from his deep wound and will be ready for the next game. our midfield trio got the rest they needed, that only leaves Leo Messi as the most tired guy about and he is only one yellow away from a good rest ;) . Pep will gain invaluable experience from this season for his coaching career and this will do him worlds of good.

Tito is back with us and is recovering much better. There is CL around the corner and we have once again the chance to see this brilliant team in the light of the biggest stage in another European night. a trophy we have a very good chance of winning.
we have already reached another copa final and are going to face a very exciting opponent.

All these difficulties will make us stronger and will remind us and the players the great scale of the success they have experienced these past years. and will only motivate us much more for a next season that will be a beautifully blaugrana season.

We have won 13 trophies in the last 3,5 years while our biggest rivals only have won 1 Copa Del Rey (a broken one that is).

So far this season we have already won 3 (Spanish Super Cup (against RM), European Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup) out of possible 6 trophies this season. Moreover we are also in the Copa Del Rey final and still the biggest favourites to retain the CL. That's not too bad.

Pheco wrote a really good post that explained some of the problems we have faced this season especially in the league. No need for me or others to repeat the same or add different aspects that are connected to the main problem that has been described many times this season.

Contrary to popular belief we did not lose the league yesterday. The defeat was just a confirmation of our instability away from home in the league this season and a display of the same problems we have faced in all the away games were we have lost points.

You don't win the league title if you beat your biggest rival with relative ease at their pitch in December just to trail by 7 poinst the next month.

RM have been the better team this season so far (in the league) and that's why they will probably win it. And if that happens it will be fully deserved.

I says 10 point difference is the best any team can achieve at this stage. Any other team would crack like an egg. We have half of our squad either injured or fatigued and play with kids and yet we play world-class football. What more can we ask of this team? We are still the best in the world, we set the bar and raise it everytime we touch the ball, we are what everyone aspires to be like, we are the dream of every player and child, we are the best in history. It's not some emotionally charged rationalization stemming from a state of denial. Far from it, it's almost completely based on reason.

Iniesta, Busquets will regain full form this week.
Afellay will or will not make an epic comeback before February ends.
Villa seems to be expected in the second week of april.

This means Cesc is likely to be played more in midfield, which is good.

More players will play upfront, enhancing our pressing.

I believe that the second half of the season will meet the usual standards of the team, with more consistency and less game changing referee decisions.

That is all we can wish for, and if Madrid manages to win la Liga despite that, then good for them.
It will be a different story in the CL, and we will reclaim the Copa at the Mestalla. That should be enough for Messi to win a 4th Ballon d'or and ensure Xaviesta's place in the top 5. And then Guardiola will be there the next season :)
